Im already tired of trying to search SOMEONE who has the maps on TEAM OBJECTIVE, you know, for the achievement… but as far I have played like 10 fricking games and nobody had the fricking maps, and I bet, if we had at least only 1 DLC playlist, this would have not happened… 343, your matchmaking team sucks, please frankie, fire all of them
They keep catering to the kids who play infection and arcade. That’s why Infection is still awful and Firefight is a joke. Anniversary Fight is just one big middle finger to the people who were expecting a challenging FF. Then they made the achievements map specific. Which was dumb to begin with. It’s going to be hell trying to find Infection on Condemned, getting it voted for, then getting the Achievement.
Ridiculous.

Now now, let’s not be too hasty with the insults. I don’t want to see you get banned, bro. But I do think the MM team is wishy-washy with their decisions. FF and Infection have been complained about for a long time, and Bungie and 343i refuses to touch them. Maybe they’re pre-occupied with Halo 4 and MLG… but that’s probably not completely the case.

I played a match in Squad Slayer last night and here is what I found:
2.)Not a single DLC map was presented in two rounds of voting.
3.)With 5 guys in my party, 3 of which know nothing about the TU… the other 2 just don’t like the TU… BUT WHERE ELSE CAN WE GO TO PLAY FOR 5v5?
And I’m REALLY confused about why 343 decided that AL needed to be fixed, and then put that fix live in a playlist WHICH DOESN’T OFFER ARMOR LOCK.
SERIOUSLY: “WHO IS RUNNING THIS ARMY!?!?!”
I had faith in 343 but I don’t anymore, they have no idea what they are doing.
Achievements where the only difficulty is actually finding a game where the maps might come up, broken spawns on Solitary, terrible weapon locations and respawn times on the Defiant maps, no fixes for arena, dynamic spawning in symmetrical maps all point to the fact they don’t have a clue.
I hear you GUYWIRED. I was in team slayer last night and was paired in a team with three really good players vs four really good players. Unfortunately for my team, I’m not very good and my -10 lost the game for the team. This was no fun for the other three people on my team who were working their butts off to compensate for my poor play. End result…one of the guys on my team flames me via text after the match, an all too common thing lately.
Hey 343, it’s really important that you begin matching people of similar talent together in MM, and also consider in that mix if the other team is playing together from game-to-game as a team…is working together on chat together, etc.
Last night sucked. In addition to previously having muted all players, I had to go in and change my xbox settings after the match to block all communication from everyone except those explicitly on my friends list…just tired of the abuse. It’s happened about 10 times over the last two months that I’ve been playing Reach.
I’m really starting to get weary of the MM parity issues with Halo: Reach.

Try not play 5v5. Multi team, FFA… have a little competitive spirit and play AGAINST them. Try it. Do it. Instead of getting a bunch of friends together and circle jerking all day.

It’s not that simple. A lot of the players I’ve met didn’t have mics or were complete -Yoinks!-. I’ve only met a few that we’re alright people, but that’s not the same.

I forgot to mention that even though I’m frustrated with the matching (and surly players) that I still love to play Reach. I know I suck but I can’t help myself.
Is there a 12 step program for Reach somewhere? LOL.
Yeah, I don’t expect to see the living dead achievement without full party boosting. It’s the last one I need too. It’s totally insane to require it on a defiant map when the damn things never come up.
Conclusion: nobody from 343 or their matchmaking sustain team plays Reach. 90% of the problems with matchmaking are self evident simply from actually playing the game.

When I mean DLC I mean Noble,Defiant, AND Anniversary.
Because “your type” just flames when the competitive players like those who you faced ask for a more appropriate outlet such as improved Arena settings or increased Trueskill restrictions across the board.
