People who played it said they didnât really notice it that much while playing. It sticks out in gameplay videos, but apparently playing it is better.
I like it more than Reachâs system, where the message saying headshot takes up half the screen.

To be honest, after watching lots of video from Halo 4 matches like the 5v5 LIVE streams from RTX, the kill messages arenât that noticeable to me, but then again, Iâm also a PC gamer, and if I can ignore a ton of text chat from annoying kids in a PC game, like Halo PC, then getting a ton of messages that say âso and so killed Timmy with a headshotâ or âYou splattered Kennyâ, are easy to ignore.
And Trust me, the kill feed in Halo 4âs MP is less annoying that getting a message thatâs the same size, that stretches across the screen that says
âNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOâ

Yes, Iâm definitely getting an HD. Iâm stuck choosing brands. This way when I play Halo 4 I will be able to watch it in the best format possible.

Just remember that bigger isnât always better when it comes to using a TV for games. Iâm afraid I donât have the most expansive experience with the assorted companies, so I wont bother advising you on that. But for size Iâd recommend something around 26-30 something inches in width.

Why make such a big deal out of nothing? Buy a bigger television if youâre worried.

Iâve a 15 year old SD tv as well, the text still doesnât go past my motion sensor though. 
I want to get a new one before Halo 4 comes out, but it will cost me âŹ500,-

Thatâs easy to say, but upwards of $500 is not something everyone has. Regardless Iâm saving up.

Same here, Iâm hoping to catch one on sale. Iâm taking the release of Halo 4 very seriously and am trying to save up for a new tv.
This is why I have posted this topic. I also have an old TV that has issues with games that have been optimized for HD. There is also no way I will replace it before H4. 
In fact I donât even know how they got it in the house in the first place, they might have built the house around it for all I know, it was here when I moved in.
Does anyone know what setups they have been playing on at the events?

Yeah, some things are easier to say than done, like getting a bigger screen. I know if I had $500, it wouldnât go to something nice like a larger screen, but paying bills and gas.
And I know what most people would do, theyâd go to their parents and beg the hell out of them, but for those of who donât have parents who are that giving, or live on our own, itâs not that easy.
