I have never in all my years of Halo played a gametype that makes me feel like I’m playing COD. I only managed 1 win out of like 3 games but you might as well put everyone in a damn tank and say go. Or even better, you shouldve named the game mode don’t blink because everyone has a one shot kill sniper rifle and the better reflexes team wins. That’s what it really boils down to. I’d prefer the normal shotty snipers.

So, in other words, it plays just like regular Shotty Snipes. Imagine that. I just wish I’d still get credited with a headshot using the Nornfang. That’s really the only downside to Mythic Shotty Snipes for me.

Oh yeah?? Try shotgun only runs, using Oathsworn against everyone else’s nornfnags and winning as the top player is the best feeling in the world!
I’m so useless in this gamemode, man some people are just awesome with their reaction times and aiming, I’m just cannon fodder sadly…
I just go for no scopes if I want a little challenge with long distance targets. Mythic Snipers is more about peek shooting so stay close to cover and only show yourself for a limited time.
So you are basing winning 1 out of 3 games for it being a horrible game type? Correct me if I’m wrong but you wouldn’t classify arena or slayer or btb as a bad playlist if you won’t the same ratio.
the whole idea of having different classes for weapons is silly. All it is is a way to sell more req packs and make more money. Is any game type really that fun and fair when you get blasted across the map with a one shot from a nornfang? Whether is mythic or a warzone type it just takes away from skill and core halo play.
Well don’t play it if you don’t like it. Why does every playlist have to be some skill sweat fest? Mythic shottie snipers is a temporary SOICAL playlist. It’s not about skill. It’s supposed to just be a casual fun game type. Not every game type is going to appeal to every one. I dont get why some come here to complain about certain playlist. Let those who like it play it and play the playlist that you like. I hate swat. But I don’t bash it or others who happen to like it. Halo has always thrown in “easy” kill game types here and there.
Ha I had 2 wins in my last 10 Warzone Assault games - 8 losses in a row.
I think you’ve got to understand that 1HK weapons have a certain playstyle that needs to be adopted - pre-emptive shooting for spawning players, accept the fact you may spawn, die, spawn, die a lot.

I’ve thought about this a little more. Everything you have described is the way that SWAT plays also. Never played Halo 2 much but it was certainly core in every title I’ve played since H3. I don’t see any difference between SWAT and Mythic Shotty Snipes - I’d say Snipes you have to aim more than SWAT - do you steer clear of that playlist?
And I would prefer for all sniper matches to be on bigger maps but you don’t see me complaining. Mythic Shotty Snipers is one of the best playlists that 343i have ever added in my opinion. Yes, it doesn’t take skill, but not every playlist is competitive. Do you also complain about Infection not having any skill involved?
I enjoy it as a seperate game mode to the others, it isn’t harming anyone by itself.
I quite enjoy Mythic Shotty Snipers for what it is. Sure it can get frustrating at times, but knowing when to use Oathsworn’s mobility and Nornfang’s 1-shot damage can make you very dangerous.

Ohmaigodd I know right?? But the absolute worst part about it is that it won’t even let me spawn with a sword and super speed like in that Castle playlist. And I told 343i that if they didn’t give me a cheeseburger by the end of today, then, like, I’m never going to buy Halo 6, because that’ll teach them.
Why are you complaining about a playlist that’s up for a couple of weeks, in social? Were you somehow surprised by the first game you played? Was “Mythic Shotty Snipers” not a good enough description, and spawning with a mythic shotgun and mythic sniper rifle caught you off guard? I am just flabbergasted right now. You spawn with the weapons in the title of the playlist, and you hate that, but you keep playing it anyways? I just…can’t.
Its gone now anyways, you wont have to worry about it for another momth or so. Also if you dont like it just dont play it?
