I’m trying to complete Halo: Reach on Legendary…alone.
I’ve done pretty good so far. I’m on Long Night of Solace, and I just cleared the control room and I’m stuck between the control room and the hanger with 1% health and have two Elites, a Grunt, and a Jackle. What can I do?!
BTW: If this in the wrong section or something, please tell and I’ll correct it.
the best weapons on that mission would be the needle rifle and plasma pistol. if you dont have them, then backtrack through the level if you can to get them. then hide by the doorway and headshot the grunt and jackle, then noob combo the elites. if your shilds go below 50%, just run back in the doorway until it charges.
EDIT: dont forget to kill the grunts and jackles before you try to kill the elites, that way there will be less guns pointed at you.

Like Nails said, and he’s right. LNOS, the best weapons by far are the Needle Rifle and Plasma pistol.
At that point OP, your precision weapons are pretty much gone except for the needle rifle cache in the control room. I’d recommend going with the concussion rifle cache if you like getting close to enemy, its powerful enough to blast the elites into a wall and focus the damage. But try and keep distance because you will probably die from the second elite if your not careful. The only other option I have for you is, like one of the posters above, shooting plasma rounds into them then a headshot.
Something that really helped me was blocking the tunnel, if you can and then plasma pistoling or trying to sword the elite.
I would highly recommend you watch MythicTyrant’s LASO walkthrough http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQ1T0pUupFI . It’s for Legendary All Skulls On, so you can imagine how it would make Legendary Solo a breeze since you’ll be using tactics essentially for an entire difficulty level higher than you’re playing through.
P.S. This guy’s kind of a big deal- know the “Tyrant” class AA guns you blow up? They’re named after him.
