would it honestly be a bad idea to have a bot mode like in cod black ops.now here me out on this before you shoot it down ok now when i got the idea of having a halo 4 bot mode my xbox live ran out so i couldnt play match making or spartan ops and well i got bored pretty fast so i went to play black ops bot mode and got to thinkin it would be pretty cool to have this in halo i get to set up what ever game mode i want which team im on and how many people are on my team and how many are against me wouldnt that be awesome to do in halo.now you can use any game mode on any map you want ,place viechals ,spawn points for the Ai you want on your team ,and the ones you want to fight . example for people who want a flood return and a flood survival with this mode you could build a map in forge set up spawn points for you and 8 marines then where you want the flood to spawn and then yah you can kinda make your own survival mode and this applies to all types of situtations if you want to fight covenant or a certain type of covenant like just elites or just jackals like you get the point and if you want to fight the marines you can .plus for all you covenant fans with this mode you cold change your character to an elite same with the flood now that they have a flood player model you could play on the flood team aka fight along side flood marines and covenants .now for the ai you can spawn your going to have to have a spawn point for each seperate ai.heres a list for each team unsc marine, spartan, crew members.covenant elites brutes grunts drones and the rest. flood marine elites brutes grunts jackals any ai in halo should be able to be infected by the flood .and thats pretty much all i could think of at the moment but think about this idea please i think it would be pretty cool if you have better ideas please post oh and support having a pelican in forged that can hold a team of 5 people in it 1 pilot 4 in cargo
The Pelican idea im not on board on, but the AI Bots as you described were used in Gear’s of War and games like Unreal, Quake, long before COD. I would not mind them as they became useful for learning new strategy against unpredictable opponents.
I do feel however Spartan Op’s, Campaign, covers that for myself but it would be interesting to see AI Bots brought into Halo eventually to fill that gap if you want to just chill out and try out some Strategys or such.
*Hear me out.
Sorry. That was bothering me quite a bit.
This is a wall of text, please put it in paragraphs.
I did however read the first couple of lines through, Spartan Ops requiring Gold membership has always confused me. Why can’t we play it offline, I don’t understand.
And having a bot mode in Halo? That could be difficult and I’m not sure how well it would go over with the community already very biased against CoD.
HEAR…IT’S H-E-A-R !!!
Anyway…I agree…I loved the bot system in 007/ Perfect Dark.
So much fun…ahhhh memories…

I’m sure that the whole Spartan Ops situation is because they were still developing some of the chapters (levels) and wanted to release them bit by bit (as a long term hook or extension) to keep online players busy. They could only release them by LIVE. So, there wasn’t much to do there.
Now, AI Bots. Think back to when 343i released the information about the storage needed for Halo 4 to work properly and efficiently on Xboxes… They said a whopping 8GB was needed- let alone the 4GB also needed for the incoming map pack DLC. The Fan base (me included :S) was extremely frustrated because a lot of people still use 8GB storage hard drives. Like me.
Now imagine putting MORE stuff into a game that big…
I completely agree and support your idea. It just seems like so much to put into a game like Halo with its already extremely advanced Theater and Forge systems- which, Bungie should be proud to say, is unlike -yet better than- any other games’ systems like them. All of the programming and applications take up ALOT of space on the disc.
You know, though, I bet you my life they’ll definitely be able to put that kind of thing into the next gen Xbox 720 :3 which I’m looking forward to… You should definitely get your idea heard because I’m sure there are a lot more people like you that play offline and get bored easily. It would change Halo quite a bit.
