So please explain to us what you think they should add to Halo that would make it different from last Halo but not completely destroy the formula.
It seems that people like you will trash any idea thrown out there. The truth is, you are saying Halo should stay the same, game after game, because if it didn’t, you’d be right back on these forums complaining that the game is ruined even with little to no information on how the new idea will be implemented.
The way I see it, only the core mechanics should remain identical.
Movement speed.
Jump Height.
No bloom.
Ability Pick-ups.
Maybe a few others.
They should work around all of that. And from the [b20 seconds** of the game I’ve seen, not heard about, they have stuck with 3 of those 4.
In order for a game to be successful it needs to evolve. Now I do believe things like armor abilities and bloom completely ruined Reach because they completely changed the way we play the game and it’s noticeable. The one thing I enjoyed was sprint. (I know, bring the hate!) I can’t, for the life of me, understand how it kills the gameplay other than I am forced to move slowly when regularly moving.
Look at Battlefield or CoD for example. They both have been around almost as long as Halo. Infinity Ward and DICE both realized that some changes needed to be made.
DICE added destructible environments to Battlefield and Infinity Ward added perks, kill rewards, and a progressive ranking system to Call of Duty. Both franchises are now more popular than they ever could have been before these huge changes.
Now I’m not trying to compare Halo to these games specifically. I’m just using them as examples as to how change is a good thing.
You just need to be more open minded about Halo and stop begging for it to be Halo 2 or 3 with better graphics. After all, if it’s that big of a deal to you, just go play Halo 3 and let us enjoy Halo 4 without you.
So again, please, doo tell what changes they should make without ruining the game.
