I’m sure there are plenty of topics on the oni warthog now overheating but come on… that was the one good thing about it. I mean at least make it take longer to overheat than a regular turret.

EDIT* When I saw this I didn’t believe it. 343 never mentioned it, or maybe I just didn’t read a whole article on the littlest things they sometimes don’t mention. But many months later I am glad they changed this.
It still basically an Answer, just fire in bursts. It was getting really old when people would just light up an armory nonstop so you couldn’t leave.

lol I always though that the Oni warthog was a bit powerful, and that it needed a nerf. The oni warthog itself is basically as tough as a scorpion and has the Answer with a faster rate of fire and unlimited ammo on a swivel on its back. I guess they added an overheating feature to balance things out.

I don’t mean to be rude, but if you think the ONI hog is weak, you are clearly using it wrong. It is arguably the most powerful REQ level 3 item, even nerfed. It shoots explosive rounds and can take a pounding. Grab an overshield for your gunner, and you’re a rolling death platform.

I wish they left it as it was. The weakness is having two competent people using it. Maybe it’s just me cuz I’m usually playing solo.

Did anyone ever consider that this was done so that Warzone Firefight wouldn’t be easy mode?
I mean, I’m not particularly happy with it either. But if they hadn’t done this, you could just steamroll through the mode without any issue.
