I love that the Bulletin for this week has no mention of the fact that the number of forum users has easily quadrupled this past week in the Halo 4 forum alone because of the Game Informer issue detailing some new reveals of Halo 4.
Although not everyone, there has been a huge spike in forum usage whether you believe the new Halo will be good or not. And most of these posts are negative views of the information released in Game Informer. Yet there is no mention of anyone’s concerns with Halo 4. I know, I know - we haven’t played the game yet. But 343i should address these concerns. I know it’s important from a competitive standpoint and from the industry perspective to stay secretive about certain aspects, but you also have to be able to manage your audience.
So users of this forum, you should not be mad at the people making posts with their negative opinion of the game. You should be upset that there seems to be nothing happening to address these concerns.

What?
Not everyone reads the forums. A simple summary in the Bulletin would have been sufficient. If browsing the forums for things Frank and bsangel say is how you should get your info then why even have a bulletin at all?
343i has already said they had expected every reaction. They have said things will be cleared up. They have confirmed things and said some things aren’t as they seem. Employees have even posted on the 4 forum a few times. They know whats going on. They don’t need to do anything, just clear things up gradually and wait the negativity out. The storm can’t last forever.

Wow you mean they said they didn’t copy Call of Duty!? Of course not going to say that - it would be admitting defeat.

All information has been confirmed, thus your first point is automatically invalidated.
No, they have not addressed them. They simply only addressed that they would address them.
However, bs angel said that a timeline has been laid out for certain reveals and explanations. Again, it’s another statement saying that they will address the topics at hand in the future.
I’m only curious to hear what excuses 343i can come up with for these drastic changes to the Halo formula (Join in progress, Spartan Points, in-game features via a progression system, and other Call of Duty-like features).

Oh so then they intentionally gave me the middle finger. (knowing how people would react)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t the Game Informer article directly from 343i? Or did they just assume all of these things they said in the article?

The GameInformer staff wrote the article. 343 only showed them demos, spoke to them about the game and provided the pictures.

So they were ready to reveal demos to a media outlet that they knew would be writing an article, but they aren’t ready to address reaction to the demos and article at this time?
This post is so full of underhanded insults to anyone not flaming the board with complaints.
OP’s silly post : “If you’re not flaming the new information with hatred then you are a troll, but don’t defend yourself when I attack you, because I’m really trying to talk about something else”

The 28 pics are from Frankie and David Ellis on NeoGaf. They are addressing concerns, putting down rumors, and various other things regarding Halo 4. Things will be cleared up and revealed more in depth in time, as they have said many times.
They said they’ll talk about it in more detail later in the month with a podcast. Wait until then to get actual information. They really haven’t said much in their posts on forums (343 likes to be vague until their information release dates).

Basically what I got from that is “Halo 4 is not Call of Duty! Have you ever played Modern Warfare? I don’t see any Spartans in CoD. Therefore, Halo 4 is Halo and not CoD.”

No where did I say that. But by your logic of me saying that people who think Halo 4 is not looking bleak are trolls I’d say you’re proving me right. Thanks!

Because those ideas were originally from CoD and not copied from other games, right?

Unlike professional game journalist, us gamers are quick to judge and often give harshly and most of the time baldy written criticism. If they release unfinished Halo 4 to the public, how do you think the crowd will react? They’re playing smart. They will address these issues and concerns soon. When they do, it will be the real deal.
