Oh no, please don't tell me it's actually going to be like this!

Something that has really been bothering me ever since the TU beta came out was that the awesome pistol was “split” between playlists. In some of them, the pistol had its awesome 3-hit KO, and in the others, it had accuracy, but never both. I hope that this is just something that makes Reach more even, because I really want to full multiplayer to have that full overpowered pistol that all of my older friends have talked about but I have never gotten to experience.

In anniversary, it will always be no bloom.

What I’m worried about in the Anniversary playlist with the Magnum is:

A) Reach’s insane rate of fire which offers little punishment for user error.

B) The magnum’s Huge spread even without bloom will make magnum fights random as hell.

C) 8 round magasine is abit meh but aint big of a deal.

The CEA Pistol will have a slightly lessened ROF, less bloom than default and be a 3SK with bleed-through.
It will not be the ZB variant at 3-shot.

And the CE-Pistol was inaccurate if the trigger was held. True not many players held the trigger because instinctively, who rapid fires a pistol with the trigger simply held? (not including machine pistols of the spray and pray sort), and so never discovered how the Pistol could become more unreliable.
Just because it was rarely an issue doesn’t mean it didn’t exist as a possible issue.

Another thing to note, the CE Pistol, like all of CE’s weapons, is a bullet magnetism god. Its precision isn’t as user-made as some lead others to believe. It requires knowledge and application of use more than actual precision is most situations (most, not all). Leading a target is required on a moving player. Leading with exact precision is not.

343 stated that the anniversary-era pistol will be 3sk, fully automatic (less accurate when fired automatic). This is actually good as it means that the ROF of it will be smaller, lessening kill times (no more semi-auto). Will not judge it though until I play with it myself.

I agree with the content of this post. I just hope no matter how it turns out that it takes skill to use.

Answers

a) A RoF cap is being imposed.

b) Spread is being minimised, see any Anniversary pistol footage and you will see the reticule is smaller.

c) It is to stop it being too powerful (what with it being hitcan).

I’m a patient person. e.g. I’ve waited +year for Reach to be fixed and it turns out I was just waiting for CEA LOL.

Consistency. The pistol and DMR are great w/no bloom. Armor Lock is tolerable now (TU BETA LIST).

BUT, AL & AC need to be changed UNIVERSALLY in Reach. It’s BS to have to wonder if the AL is a long AL and cannot be stuck and/or the AC can run around invisible the whole game…

I actually think the Active Camouflage has to be DEnerfed! If you remember any of the past Halo games, it was a lot better when you could run around camoud and only be spotted when you shoot.

As it is if you pick up the powerup then you can move freely without being spotted, its the AA version that makes you need to crouch around to slip around enemy sights.
