Oh...My...God

People demanded a ranked system… they got it. People demanded a visible ranking system… they got it. Now threads are popping up saying “y duh halo fourr neez duh in game rank visibility”. Is there no end?

There is no visible ranking system.

there will be on waypoint

It was just announced

Honestly, I never cared about rank system, I just hate the fact that people are so immature that they require one in order to play the game properly.

Can’t please everyone, apparently.

But, sounds like game forums as usual. :B

But not in game, I see it as a glass half full. There’s always Halo 5.

> Is there no end?

short answer: no

long answer: noooooooope!

OP, just had a quick look through the threads and I didn’t see any with a subject line written as illiterate as that.

On to to my point.

I for one would prefer visible ranks in game for two reason:

  1. Ease of access. Halo Waypoint is VERY touch and go. Some days it won’t load at all. Which is going to be really frustrating. Also, I know the mobile app is also available. But if anyone has actually used it. They would realise, it’s terribly buggy. Hardly works for me. Hopefully they can fix either of these.

  2. In Halo 3 most searching happened within ten skill below yours and ten skill above. Unless it actually managed to find a close match, which was rare. So, assuming they will use a similar function in Halo 4 to reduce search times I could be a skill 40 that has just come up against a full team of 50’s (example) and they may stomp me. In which case I would be really curious as to what skill they all were for my reference.

If there was an in game option to make you CSR visible, or hidden in a part of your service record. I think that would be fantastic. Then there would be no issues. If you are worried of having an “e-peen” waved at you. Just switch it off.I’m not complaining, just offering some reasons and here to discuss.

I am extremely happy with what has been announced and am very thankful to 343 for what they have done. Just a few options.

If you think this is bad… Take a good look at the Mass effect 3 multiplayer forums

I can’t link on my phone but go the news page of this website. It will have a whole blog entry with details on the ranking system.

Welcome to online forums.

  1. … You make it sound like 343i wasn’t in constant communication about the subject.
  2. https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst127754_Competitive-Skill-Rank-Announced.aspx is where it’s at

We asked for a ranking system to be in Halo 4.

They announced a ranking system, guess what? It’s not in Halo 4. It’s on Waypoint. This is hardly a good way of going about it, like anyone ever cared about BPR. A lot of people don’t even know waypoint exists, it needs to be in-game so it’s fair and easily accessible to everyone who wants it.

Thanks!

Im hoping that they have a fresh slate of playlists for this so everyone starts off the same day one.

There are two “why CSR needs to blah blah blah in the game” threads on the first few pages. And, I too would rather have a visible rank. But I am more than happy with the choice to add in what they are rather than nothing at all.

This thread isn’t exactly positive or helping.
