Oh...My...God..

Think about it. What else has 343 done to show what they are capable of? Saber did the graphics layout for anniversary, which was Bungie’s gameplay. Gearbox developed the maps for anniversary dlc, which was designed by bungie originally.

The only thing that 343 did was the title update. Which still doesn’t play will in “anniversary mode” (bloom with magnum is not classic)

You really are a bit slow on figuring this one out.

Halo 4 will be 343i’s first game we will see fully by them, we will have to wait and see, I am never going to judge 343i off the way the handle Reach, it’s not their game, they only manage it.

Yea, but how will we know if its worth the wait? Bungie has been able to manage their games well and give good enough hype for them. 343 isn’t doing much…

All Bungie ever did for Halo: Reach was Matchmaking Update after Matchmaking Update.

343i has released a Title Update, fixing some problems wanted by the community since Reach launched, making new variations of Reach exist along side Vanilla.

As for 343i and Halo 4, it will be a surprise, just like Bungie was with Halo 2, 3 and Reach.

AND SO MY CONSPIRACY IS TRUE…

I’m just going to sit in this corner and cry at your idiocy.

I give it a 50 50 chance

Well I don’t see how else things like Bloom and Armor lock could have been introduced to Halo.

I know right? It’s almost as if it were a huge scam…

I don’t think Bungie deliberately sabotaged the franchise in order to give 343i the opportunity to look good.

(Ir)relevant.

You can’t judge 343 until halo 4.

In my opinion (or at least, as of 5 minutes ago when this popped into my head):

Reach is what it is because Sage wanted to make Shadow Run (or atleast the dream that he had for SR), just one that made money and that he would be remembered for. So he slapped a Halo title on it, made it enough like Halo for that to be justified, and then tweaked shadow run’s mechanics to work for Halo.

And not just the bloom.
regen Bubble Shield = tree of life
glider = jetpack
Giving the elites different gameplay characteristics (ie regen health and stronger shields), similar to the different enemies of SR.

There’s probably plenty more but I haven’t played enough Shadow Run to remember all the things, as I haven’t played it in a year.

If this was his agenda, then it worked out. Reach is famous, he made a lot of money, etc. Even though they weren’t perfectly tuned, if this wasn’t a Halo game, it would probably be well renowned as it’s a pretty good game. The problem is that it’s not Halo and doesn’t live up to the reputation the previous Halo’s had. MLG used SR on the circuit exactly how the game was formed, yet most AA’s were taken out of Reach by v2. So… I guess even if it wasn’t Halo, it wasn’t as perfect as SR, but whatever; he made his money and his dream came true.

edit: Just refreshed up on the Shadow Run mechanics and it seems that these are the main similarities although I believe it was more the idea/dream that SR spawned (Sage’s brain) is similar to that of Reach. I don’t think it’s too far fetched that this may be exactly what Sage had in mind.
