Oh Commander Palmer, you bad girl!

So, what do you think Com. Palmer was really up to in Episode 5, not like her to be away from her com-link and not bashing Miller and the “egg heads”. Maybe the Ice Queen has herself a boy toy to dominate, or a girl, it is 2557, “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” has been repelled for 254 years.

She might be taking care of Halsey.

Double post…

> Double post…

lol. Good thing you edited that.

OT: I’m sure in EP. 6 we’ll be seeing why she was occupied with things other than her ops, such as previously stated by QueenlyTree124.

She ragequit…IDK what else to say.

just causing more eye rolls that ever. Pointing a gun at an old lady? Really?

This is why spartans should come from genetically gifted 6yo kids, not the meatheads of the military

Probably helping Captain Lasky in putting a boot up Halsey’s behind for consorting with Jul 'Mdama?

I’m sure she’s keeping an eye on Halsey after what happened. She’s not her biggest fan after all.

Dude, if anyone needs to take Vic’s advise and take a chill pill it is Palmer, and if she doesn’t have a pill she should take a chill strip, just stuck it in her mouth, let it dissolve and CHILL.

I’m honestly okay with her giving an episode a miss.

Correction, DADT would’ve been gone for 547 years as of 2558, when Spartan Ops takes place.

> I’m honestly okay with her giving an episode a miss.

Yes! It gave us more time with Roland who is funny as hell. I’m glad that they are finally giving him a personality.

Hell yeah, Roland is awesome, he better have a bigger role in Halo 5, and unlike other AI’s he seems not offended by wearing clothes, and his WW2 flight suit is pretty cool.

She is having a one on one with master chief. He is the only Spartan Man enough for her

> “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” has been repelled for 254 years.

As the UNSC is an international coalition i don’t think that ‘don’t ask don’t tell’ has any bearing on anything, the US forces have no influence on what is or isn’t policy in the UNSC forces.

same as how we see women in combat rolls in the UNSC. the US doesn’t allow for that(as backwards and regressive as that is). the UNSC is far more like the Canadian forces on policy than any other force in the world.(says nothing for combat capacity, just in social policy)

as to what she is doing, probably dealing with Halsey.

that old lady is still a war criminal, traitor, and was at that moment consorting with the enemy.

I think pointing a gun at her was perfectly called for.

Because Halsey knew she was talking to 'Mdama…

She probably thought she was talking to the Forerunner tech or something.

And does anybody know the real reason why she is considered a “war criminal?” I mean, yes, she did abduct kids and replace them with clones that died pretty quick after, but she had the green light to do it, and was funded by the UNSC, why is she now a war criminal for doing what she was authorized to do…

On Topic: Used to like Palmer…but one does not simply treat Halsey like that. I bet if the Chief knew we’d be having some issues on the Infinity.

She knew who she was talking to. Halsey is smart. She knows.

you are supporting the Nuremberg defence. We long ago established(back after WW2) that you are responsible for your own actions regardless if you were ordered to do it or not.

[EDIT] The Germans did a lot of horrific things in WW2, that in the end gave us things that are helpful today, but were done in illegal ways. Testing medical procedures on people in camps for example, led to things that save lives today, but were discovered illegally. Those who gave the orders AND those who followed them, are equally responsible for the crimes, and are both still war criminals.

The point here is Yes, the Spartans were instrumental to the war effort, and saved hundreds, if not thousands or millions of lives. BUT the way they were created was still illegal, and both those who gave the orders and those who followed them are war criminals. Halsey just happens to be the highest one up that is still alive[/EDIT]

Sure, Halsey was ordered to kidnap children, but legal precedent has been set that she is responsible for those actions. If she desired to avoid legal prosecution, she would have refused to follow orders, even if it meant her execution. That’s not a load of crap, that is how international law actually, factually works.

Halsey is a war criminal for a number of things:
-Kidnapping Children(all the Spartans)
-Use of illegal human clones(human cloning is illegal in the Halo universe)
-Use of child soldiers(the Spartans were still children, it’s illegal now and would be in the future too)
-Preforming unsafe experimental medical procedures on humans, not of an age of consent
-Theft of Military assets(she took the Spartans to Onyx without authorization, that’s treason)

> On Topic: Used to like Palmer…but one does not simply treat Halsey like that. I bet if the Chief knew we’d be having some issues on the Infinity.

I would bet there would be no issues at all. The Chief is a professional soldier, trained by Halsey to take orders from the chain of command, not from her. The S-IIs aren’t her personal army. They see her as a ‘mother’ figure, but they all also understand that what she did was illegal.

The Chief’s response would be just like that of Fred, Kelly, Naomi, and all others who were there when she was arrested on Onyx. they would be uncomfortable, but they would follow orders, and move on.

Yeah, because Chief was SO obedient to give Cortana up to Andrew Del Rio in the Campaign even after Del Rio screamed at Chief. Hell, not even Palmer arrested Master Chief after being ordered to do so by Del Rio.
