And please, don’t get me wrong, I think Halo 4 is a great game, but it’s only going somewhat in the right direction.
They have added too many things that make the game play like Call of Duty, then didn’t give us enough custom options to change these back.
They thought they were appealing to a larger fan base, but were only trading one player for another.
Doing this just pissed off a lot of the Halo players. It’s like we’re being kicked out and replaced by a new player base.
I mention again, that this is like the Great Schism (where the brutes took over the elites) all over again.
And BTW when i say community, I don’t mean players.
Total players =/= Community
Community = Players who actively play Halo and contribute feedback through forums, etc.
I just wish that Bungie still had the desire to produce Halo games of the caliber of Halo 2 and 3, when Halo was still their baby and they wanted the franchise to grow and develop. After Halo 3, they clearly didn’t care as much, and maybe if they were still in charge things wouldn’t be all that much better now. They’d be less buggy, for sure, but maybe not better in every other respect.
This doesn’t even make any sense. You know, the funniest part is that this is EXACTLY how all of you people treated Bungie after Halo 2-REACH and then you wonder why they didn’t want to develop their games any more. Such an ungrateful, rude, pessimistic, and entitled fanbase.

I know right?

343i made a wonderful game for us to play OP. There is only a few hundred of you complaining, out of the millions that bought it. Im sure it no where near half the community.
> What an ungrateful, terrible thread. You should be ashamed.
No, no ,no I think 343i made a great game, but the thing is that they tried to cater more to CoD players, and make it have features that Call of Duty players want to play with rather than making it cater to Halo players.

Yep, basically.
But the thing is that Bungie listened to the community. They would have fixed the next game properly.

The bigger thing is that Bungie didn’t want to keep doing Halo, hence their split from MS. After 10+ years of working on the same series they must have felt burned out and I can’t blame them.
Plus after Reach I personally wouldn’t want them behind the wheel again.
> When reach was released this forum had way more haters than it does now.
Perhaps most of the haters have stopped caring and sold the game already. Or perhaps the haters haven’t even bought H4 after the deception that was Reach.
