Let me preface this by saying I’m not 100% sure where this would go but feel free to move it to the appropriate place.
With that being said let me explain my issue. My OG Xbox disc tray is stuck and I can’t fix it. I keep trying but now I can’t even get it open. I have a lot of files saved on my harddrive for most games but I’m mostly concerned about my Halo saves, especially the map pack for Halo 2 I can’t download anymore (on the OG Xbox at least). I have another OG Xbox ready to go that works but does anyone know the best way, or any way possible for that matter, to move these files over to the other Xbox? I really want to have it back. Thanks in advance!
Link for help fixing your disc tray. Not sure if that helps, but it might come in handy!
As far as saves go, I don’t recall original Xboxes having transfer cables. But, they did have memory units like this one. I didn’t check the details of that specific item, so please buy it only if it is a good item! Anyway, you can transfer your saves to a memory unit and you should be able to move them to another Xbox.
Last point, in case you were not aware, you can buy the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map pack on disc. This is one example. They can be found for well under $10, although the one I linked is pretty expensive.

Thanks for the help. I bought memory units over the weekend hoping they would be large enough to fit the map pack but they weren’t. I have the Multiplayer Map Pack disc (loved it when I got it) but there was another map pack (Blastacular I believe and the Halo 2 1.5 update) after it came out so it isn’t on the disc. It isn’t a huge deal since you can’t play Halo 2 online anymore but especially if I can fix the tray. Thanks for all your help though, you’re always on the forums giving out great advice and suggestions. The community needs more like you tuhin94

Glad to help! Ahh did not know the Blastacular maps were not on the disc. The largest memory unit I know of was either 16 or 64MB for the OG Xbox while the maps themselves take up 142MB. Seems like you cannot download those maps on a non-modded Xbox anymore either. Definitely don’t let those go! I hope you are able to fix the disc tray because OG Xboxes are super cool.
