hey guys, its been almost a year (i think) since i last posted something, in the time leading up to this post, i have gotten an xbox one and all the main halo game, I.E. combat evloved, 2,3,4 and 5:Gaurdians. i have the anniversary edition of CE, and am currently looking for 2 anniversary for my 360. I am waiting to see if microsoft and bungie can work something out to where you can play the first two games on the xbox one, if you still have the xbox disks, which in this case i still do. feel free to comment your opinions on what they should do for the veteran halo players, catch you guys later.
Microsoft completely has the rights to all the halo games so I am sure there would be no problem having rights issue or stuff like that

This does not exist
Halo 2 A isn’t on the Xbox 360, but it seems likely that Halo CE and Halo 2 would come to Xbox One as part of the Original Xbox backwards compatibility program. I feel like we can see these two games within a year but it hasn’t been announced so don’t get hopeful.

Agreed 100%
Yeah, I think that they should prioritize making the original Xbox Halo games backwards-compatible. I’d really like to experience the whole original Halo multiplayer experience (I feel the MCC doesn’t do it justice).
This more refers to Halo 2, but if they do make it backwards-compatible, do you think they’ll allow the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack to be installed? And do you think there’ll be any players on it (for multiplayer)? There isn’t anyone on Social Slayer Mythic (the ‘multiplayer’ disk that came with H3: ODST), as far as I can tell.
I think 343i will update all the halo.
Wait, why is Halo: CE Anniversary in this section? That game is not classic!

because i’m stating that i have the remastered game and the original copy
I’m waiting for the original Halo CE and Halo 2 as well to round off my collection (though it’s all digital these days). As for CEA, the version in the MCC will do just fine for me. It’s 1080p @ 60fps and the graphics switching is instant whereas the 360 version has a lengthy delay. Having Anniversary in the MCC and the true OG Xbox version will be plenty for me.
Hopefully they announce these with the next batch of backward compatible games, though I also want the team to take their time so the emulations are done properly. I’m looking forward to playing CE again in the old aspect-ratio with the original sound effects and the Xbox version of Halo 2, rather than the PC version in the MCC … don’t get me wrong, Anniversary is gorgeous, but there are some bugs in there. Having both versions will be nice.

I’m with you but I think MCC is going to be the closest we’re going to get. We’ll see though
just get MCC
