Up until recently Halo Wars 2 has been my favorite game. I really liked the first Halo Wars and was very excited for the second one. But recently I was very disappointed by the game, I lost my internet connection and tried to play the game offline but it doesn’t even start up. It isn’t my Xbox because I can play just about all my other games offline. I understand that you can’t play multiplayer or anything like that but it doesn’t even start to let me play against AI. It just tells me I need to reconnect to Xbox Live. It seems kind of ridiculous not to be able to play this game offline, I hope to see this change.

That’s strange; I haven’t had that issue. The only thing I’ve had an issue with is the fact you can’t play at all without logging into an Xbox account.
This is strange, is it not another issue?

Did you set your xbox one to offline mode?

You should be able to play in offline mode, upon current investigation it looks like it gives you an error that you lost connection to your controller. To get around that, you have to remove the power to your controller and turn it back on.
This will get fixed.
