Offline Spartan points same as online for XBL users ?

I have a question, will the online offline credits go away, I want to be able to earn the same amount of credits or spartan points as offline as I can online. I just don’t want to have to play on XBL to level up with an online character. I find that really lame

The reason why I ask this is because I didn’t like the Reach Leveling system. I would gain a few hundred credits while my other non XBL profiles would gain thousands. and I would always hit a limit, I don’t want to be limited to online to level up. Lets say every MM game I played on XBL I got 1000 credits, or spartan points or whatever it is called, I would like to have the same factors that applied in MM to apply in Custom, or local games. I would like to earn the same amount offline as i do online. I don’t like the feeling of being bound to the internet to rank up

I understand what your getting at but Personally I hope to god they keep exp strictly to online multiplayer. To me your rank has to be earned the same way for everyone through out the game. The reason why is it would seem odd and unfair that someone who has played nothing but multiplayer and won majority of matches played be the same rank as someone who has fought nothing but AI or someone who has just boosted their rank in Customs or local.

Custosm are out, way to easy to boost for obvious reasons. Maybe you get a few for time spent just like when forging, but hardly for every kill/medal.
Spartan Ops and campaign should still be rewarding though since everyone could do the same thing, online or offline, and hence should have the same reward. But if you choose not to play online, you’ll have to spend at least as much time playing the other game modes to level up, hence you’ll spent many, many hours in campaign/spartan Ops to get a high rank ^^

If Spartan Points was set up like it was in Halo Reach, then NO, there is too much chance of some one cheating to rank up, and that’s unfair to the rest of us who work hard online to rank up.

I hated how I have to rank up just to get Elite armor. It’s going to take me forever to get to Captain (from Warrant Officer Grade 1) just for that Zealot armor!! I don’t have Xbox Live Gold and I don’t sign into Live very often.

But as SPARTAN OPS doesn’t need GOLD (I’m kinda sure and really hope so) as I don’t have gold would that mean the SO videos would just be me as a default SPARTAN? That would suck reallyyyyy bad.
