Forge, Custom Games, and the ability to customize your character are not available when offline. I know split screen isn’t in the game, but they should fix this, right?

the lack of split screen is the only thing I’m disappointed about in this game otherwise its been really great

Nope, not new. Just found out in December. Stalled the post to give them time to fix it, figured they knew.
Would be nice to see split screen happen but it wont, alot of companies are changing parts of their game to make more money and eliminating split screen co-op means if you want to play with family or something, they need a copy too…and an xbox one! But the forge thing kind of irks me, that should be able to be used offline. When servers were down working on maps was a great way to pass the time waiting for them to come back up.

Yep, I think most of the community misses split screen. It’s a slimy business practice to sacrifice consumer enjoyment for the sake of profit. They would’ve made plenty of cash without the extra copies.
As for Forge- Yep. It doesn’t help that my internet cuts out whenever it gets too cold/windy out.
Just another poor decision from 343 we all have to live with.

Only because enough people aren’t speaking out against this nonsense.
Just look at Microsoft, and how the XBone was going to be online-only.
Not a single person thought it was a good idea, and the sheer level of public criticism led to them retracting the idea, and weakly offering a new idea where you have to connect only once every 24hrs to play. Once again, we all said “Not gonna happen, m8,” and they just dropped it all together.
We can force 343 to change, but only with enough people that it would damage their profit margin to say no.
