just noticed that if i set my connection offline and launch the game the only thing that works is campaign.
academy = black screen on tutorial, weapon drills and training which looks like it’s starting a match and then just does nothing.
custom games = black on modes and maps (shows padlock symbol) can click play, does the same thing as training 3-2-1 and then nothing and the server option to switch between xbox live, offline and lan is greyed out. (sometimes the server button is greyed out)

all this was usable a while back offline.
the only way it works now is if you are online with the game already running and then go offline.
but that defeats the purpose of being able to play offline. having to go online to go offline is DUMB.
ffs. this turning into halo 5 in terms of nothing usable offline but campaign.
what’s the point of offline bots?
edit, getting the feeling this may be a bug so i submitted a report as i tried and older launch build of the game while offline and training and custom worked just fine. i could select maps and modes.

Offline campaign actually works? I thought it was server DRM locked. Weird.
yes you only have to login once, when it’s saved you can play offline (disable or pull ethernet)
when the game first came out on steam you could also play the following offline
campaign
tutorial
training
customs
now you can only play;
campaign
with ethernet disabled / pulled.
but if you launch the game while online, then when you reach the menu, disable ethernet / pull cord
you can play the above offline.
but close the game, re-launch and your’ll only have campaign till you go online again.
never used to be like that. it’s made the offline side of the game useless now.
not sure if it’s intentional or a bug but i submitted a ticket on it as it wasn’t like this several months back.

“Launching Halo Infinite while disconnected from the internet or while Halo services are offline will result in multiplayer modes such as Academy and Custom Games being inaccessible.”
