I will firstly say that I am more than appreciative of what Halo 5 has done in terms of it’s online multiplayer. Though it certainly has its faults warzone has been amazing, I’m sure warzone assault is good too but I’ve never gotten a match, and firefight is look great too.
However, Halo 5s offline presence is easy the worst out of all the Halo’s. That isn’t just due to splitscreen but also its rushed campaign and disjointed story. So my question or hope will there be any additions for offline play. I was hoping firefight would answer that but obviously not.
I understand that Halo is changing and there is very little care for those who enjoy playing single player or offline, but I want to be hopeful for anything. Two friends came over the other day and it was a joke, they said how crap it was. I defended it but what they said was hardly wrong.
So will there be anything? Or is the majority indeed in preference of all online and multiplayer only games? (Legitimate question, not trying to seem rude)
It’s just the way the core game runs. Sure they could patch it, but it isn’t necessary right now.
Ah well, maybe Halo 6 will deliver what I wanted. Otherwise I suppose I’ll just play the old ones.
What are you going to do by yourself? There is no split screen!
Forge and custom games would be good offline.
Unfortunately this probably won’t be changed in Halo 5, so hopefully Halo 6 has offline play and split screen. But you never know, 343 could change it for Halo 5.
If split screen comes back then I’m sure offline play will improve.

Except for those who didn’t buy it because of its exclusion.
Not to mention it’s one of many reasons why it was considered half finished in the first place.
The whole family and friends demographic would have ignored the game on that basis alone, or at least express serious distrust and disappointment at finding out the hard way.
Anyway it seems everyone understands an underlying issues is lack of splitscreen but the offline presence in general is lacking. So we should talk about those other ideas to bring to the game before a moderator locks this thread for merely mentioning splitscreen.
