OFFLINE OPTIONS to Return?

With every game in the halo franchise having OFFLINE OPTIONS up until this one it is almost a certainty that the community will be heard on the topic offline options. Too many people have come forward and said that this should be with the game (me included). There is a way to separate OFFLINE play from ONLINE play. The code is there. Just needs to be switched on so to speak. All that has to be done is: When playing offline on forge, warzone, customs, or even future just make it so that the player can only earn req point instead of buying them. Seems simple enough. I might be wrong but it was done before so why not now. I think we fed the greedy little money hungry powerhouse enough, don’t you? It’s time to have the OFFLINE unlock and the choice given back to the players. This is just my opinion but I know I’m not the only one who thinks this. I’ve seen other forum posts, Facebook posts, and even twitter feeds with the same subject. Lets hope this massive download that is supposed to happen in June includes The OFFLINE OPTIONS as well. I lift my glass of Captain and cherry coke to toast to the fact that it might happen. If not, there’s more where the Captain came from. lol

I do believe offline forge may come but sadly that may be the only thing to come offline in Halo 5.

It would be nice to have forge and firefight offline, but it doesn’t seem likely at this point.

Offline forge is VERY much needed.

I like offline play, because I could mess around in forge… Just like the chief collection.

Not all the time a tiny minority want offline will 343 take notice. If a much larger percentage moaned about this then sure but as we make up about 1% then no chance. Perhaps if that % were to reach 25%. We may as well stop moaning about this now because 343 doesn’t give a t*ss. The really funny thing is a lot of the people that will continue to forge well into the future don’t even know how potentially disastrous that’s going to be if they hope to retrieve their hard crafted work- we simply don’t know if we’ll be able to do that down the line

I definitely want Offline play for H5, but with the lack of splitscreen, it doesn’t seem possible.

so so true

I’d love to have offline forge support, I’ve had 2 of my maps ruined when the internet CR*pped out do to either to many users, or bad weather. People keep thinking internet is great, but it really isn’t, especially when some can wipe the entire internet grid with a click of a button, yes there are people that can do this. Then sayonara to everything you did. I know people want to advance into a new society and age, but there are many many more enemies against the idea, even hidden within the company itself.

But bleh, that just my stupid rant. I’d support offline forge, multiplayer, firefight, warzone and split screen just because I know a lot of my friends can’t get DSL as they live in a deep rural country. Satellite is sh*t, it’s like dial up. I’ve had the best $500(overexagerated) per month package for one month and couldn’t play anything let alone look for one post on any forum.

Offline Forge support is something that the Forge team are looking into and discussing, making it happen though is another matter

couldn’t imagine an offline war zone being very interesting… Cap all bases destroy core, repeat…

Why is it another matter? Is there a lot of red tape with the CEO’s or the higher ups? The community including myself would love to know

I meant more on the technical side of it. Read through some of the tweets that Tom has said about it in the past. It’s not as simple and straight forward as the community makes it out to be

I guess people don’t realize a dedicated server is an online thing and trying to put it on Xbox one as a download is harder, let alone updating the offline download of the server when the server online gets updated as well. But in meantime, could you add a toggable feature to auto-save your maps every x(15:30:60:90:120) amount like minecraft. Might cut a lot of chaos down. It’s an idea anyway.

It goes to show that 343 didn’t realize their servers were going to be this volatile.

Yeah, probably but I’m guessing they thought it would be easier this way do to how much forge has going on.

no offline support and lack of split screen is what killed Halo nights and Halo in general for some people. I mean what are the chances for offline firefight at this point? its abysmally low.

Used to have all night Halo parties at my house with the most current of Halo games. Now my friends and I can only go online and play each other. So much for swapping ideas, tricks, and tips in person but that’s what they want isn’t it. For all of us to be drawn into the internet so much that we don’t realize what’s going on around us in reality. Conspiracy, I think not.
