I was wondering how many other people were annoyed by the changes made to the credits system which made it so that you could only earn up to one hundred credits offline. If you’re like me, you don’t get to play online all that much. It seems unfair to me. Anyone agree?
PS. I know a lot of people don’t care about the credits but I personally really like customizing my spartan.
Could you go into more detail for me as I have never played Halo: Reach when not connected to the internet,
Basically if you connect Reach to Xbox Live once, you will only be able to earn up to 100 credits for anything you do offline. So if you play through the campaign, play firefight, forge, or split screen you can only get 100 credits. From the sounds of things Bungie did this to stop people from exploiting the game to get more credits but didn’t really take into account all the people who don’t have access to Xbox Live regularly. I’ve only ever been able to play online once and because of that I can now only earn 100 credits per game. I’m hoping 343 may fix this in a TU but I don’t think it’s likely.
It’s a anti-hacking trick, it’s meant to keep hackers from earning a ton of credits through hacking, and moving up the ranks in less time then it should take. If you’re some one who has really crappy internet, and have to play offline some times, then I can see why you’d be mad, but if you’re some one who has internet, I’d say don’t play offline.
It’s not really by choice. I’ve heard of quite a few people in worse positions than me, especially since the blue flames giveaway. I just think there has to be a better way to do this kind of thing.
Alright that’s it! According to the game I reached my offline credit cap! I’m still a sergeant grade 2 because of the stupid credit deduction system that occurred the first (and only) time I was able to connect to Xbox Live, and I was only a Warrant Officer grade 3 before that! Even if it’s a daily credit cap that’s still woefully messed up, I wouldn’t have earned over 400 credits today! This seriously needs to be fixed up. It’s like a big middle finger to those of us without regular access to Xbox Live and even more to those who also don’t have a gold membership.
Let silver members play Score Attack. It’s a single playlist that is not competive nor does it involve other players. It will allow players to get some credits while still enjoying the game until they can get gold.
You can’t rank up on Score Attack alone but you are still earning money nonetheless.
That doesn’t work for people who can’t connect to Xbox Live regularly/at all. Those who can’t get regular access are also not likely to get a Gold membership.
