Well then, I took long enough, didn’t I?
Welcome one, welcome all, BACK to the Officially Unofficial gamenight thread. Last year, I was lucky enough to get into the swing of things and host Halo gamenights every other Saturday. Then, the Great Journ-- er, the Xbox One craze increased, the MCC released, and I was left on my 360. So, I hung up the gamenight hat, one day vowing to return and press ‘begin match’ again.
Well, that day has come, and you’re invited. I’ve heard mixed reports on how well the MCC treats custom game lobbies. So that’s a gamble right off the bat, unfortunately. The File Share isn’t up yet as well, but I’m willing to try and fetch some maps through that ‘backup’ elongated process.
And if you still have a 360? Don’t worry, I still plan to jump the gamenight back to the last gen as well (granted the attendees are fine with that). So, here’s the basics:
WHEN: Saturday, March 7; 5:30 EST
Notice: Time and time ARE subject to change. But this is what to plan on right now. Cancel all family outings, friend get-togethers, what-have-you, you’re committed now. (I’m kidding, of course.)
HOW: Quite frankly, I don’t even know yet. Depends on how fritzy the MCC decides to be. Halo 4 on the 360 is always open though. But the routine no matter what is I shoot you a invite close to starting time. If you have any gametypes or maps you’d like to play on, please don’t hesitate to pipe up. I normally go one or two matches as official host. Then people you actually know how to do it take over.

So… yeah. I have no idea how many of the original gang is going to show. But I really had a blast doing these in the past, and enough people did as well to keep it going for a good while. Simply drop a message requesting an invite down below and I’ll put you on the roster. If you’re unsure you’ll make it, then you get written up on the notorious ‘Maybes’ list.
And if you don’t show, I send a SWAT team to track you down.
