For me to give up on Halo is like a nun giving up on God. Unfortunately, I am. I’ve tried and tried to force myself to deal with all the flaws in Halo 4 but it’s just getting ridiculous. I didn’t expect this game to be perfect, especially since it’s practically their first game. But They’ve changed so much of it to where I don’t even feel like I’m playing Halo any more. I can’t snipe since there’s a kill cam, I slow down dramatically while sprinting and being shot, waiting days to respond on CTF, constantly partnered with people that aren’t even close to my skill, literally getting shot through walls (I’ve reviewed it in the theater), head shot after head shot after head shot barely budging shields (also reviewed in theater), and more glitches than anything I’ve ever seen before. Not to mention a very boring ranking system. I’m not saying Halo 4 was a horrible game. Other than multiplayer, it was… okay. (Special Ops was awesome.) But I think I’m going to stop playing Halo games until either Halo 5 (or Halo 2 Anniversary) is released, or they do some more updates. And for those of you who can deal with these issues, just enjoy the game, guys.
Least you aren’t being harsh and you’re being honest. Dude, I know how you feel. Halo 4 is a whole new watered down version of Reach. I actually didn’t like Reach as much as Halo 3, but what I was happy about is that machinima was still able to evolve (to an extent) and that it introduced new CoD-esque features but Bungie still tried sticking to the versions of Halo they’ve built upon. They brought new things to the table that the Halo franchise, and a lot of these new features certainly weren’t needed, but it still made Reach a great game.
Now Halo is like CoD but in space and it has all these CoD-related features it doesn’t even -Yoinking!- need. What 343i should have done is build onwards from what Bungie did in Halo 2, Halo 3, and even Reach. If they did that then I bet this game would have had an average of 200k–250k players on its MM feature alone, being able to peak at over 300k at times.
Game does suck , should have been more like Halo 2 and 3 then Reach
I stopped reading at “officially.”
That means one of two things:
- You represent a company integral to this game (you are not)
- You’re attention seeking
Why is getting slowdowned during sprinting a bad thing? It was one of the number one complaints in Halo Reach. Be a man and fight

If you stopped reading at ‘officially’, why did you click on the topic and post a reply?
To the OP, it’s a shame to lose another dedicated fan
What does “waiting days for CTF to respond” mean?
What moon-man language is this?
Halo 4 is flawed? You should try Invasion Slayer on Hemorrhage as an Elite.

1 game mode and map is nowhere near the amount of things wrong with this game

I trust that you can provide specific examples.

No one will, there’s no point to argue with people that think that every new feature in a new game is flawed.
Look kid, I don’t go and whine about how bad your mother is at cooking. Don’t ruin the game for those of us that enjoy it just because you’re having a tough time.
lol Most normal people got bored of Exile deathmatch in the first month. Kudos for being masochistic enough to still keep on playing for so long!

No CSR in game - no point for competitive players
No local search filter , anyone living outside the uk and Us lags all the time
Custom game options are severely downgraded and have been watered down
Lack of playlist’s online compared to past Halo’s .
Spartan ops also lags too
etc
Guys don’t give up Halo just because H4 sucks. There are still H3 and Hwars which both are still awesome games. I also was frustrated to H4 and decided I would never ever play Halo again. After a short break I put my H3 disc into my xbox and it was like falling in love again.
Never forget reach… (H3)

I can sympathise with you. You’re not alone.

He’s not dedicated if he gives up the game so easily and says it’s not even Halo anymore just becasue of a couple changed features.

Same here. I will play Halo 3 and Reach till Halo 5 comes out…
I’ve not been waypoint long but since November I read threads where people say “On the lag, I can’t stand it. I quit!” - “They never nerfed the DMR. I quit!” - “People are shooting me through walls. I quit!” - “343 dont care about us. I quit!” and on, and on it goes.
I wish people who think that “the glass is half empty” would just QUIT, without feeling as if they HAVE to come here in order to announce it to the world.

I fail to see how four months of waiting for so much as a little “don’t we are going to fix X, it will just take us some time” is not dedicated.
Halo 4 feels nothing like Halo. Simple as that.
You can argue all you want, but this is a fact. Halo has always been an arena based shooter. But Halo Reach took a step away from that(to negative reception I’d like to point out), and Halo 4 went all the way. Having maps near doubled in size to accommodate sprint is asinine as well.
It is the same as if a new Quake Arena was released with custom loadouts and a bunch of inane features.
