The Official Xbox Magazine has released a Halo-themed magazine, featuring the Master Chief’s Story, easter eggs and collectibles from all games, and other tidbits… however… take all the canon story information with a shaker of salt. The OXM is notorious for overlooking a lot of details about the story elements… for example a prior entry had Jul 'Mdama’s Covenant Remnant named as the ‘Storm Covenant’, due to the Storm Elite and Storm Rifle, which is canonically false… in this entry I found that the Ur-Didact was mistaken for the Iso-Didact.
None the less, I reccommend any new or old fans to grab this magazine as it gives alot of general insight into the Halo universe, even if some smaller details are misinterpreted.

I bought mine from my local retail game store, but I also seen copies in the news agency too… roughly about $20 (AUS).

I found my copy in Novemberish at my local Safeway and it was about 10 dollars (US currency)

I have had this issue a while now. It said John was AWOL before we learned it in the MCC. It also says John is looking for a way to bring Cortana back using forerunner tech.
