Call us fanboys, call us insane, call us what you will, but while feedback is needed, negative or positive, those of us still willing to purchase and play Halo 4 will still be here. We are the true Halo fans, we stayed through the pre-patch Halo 2, we stayed after the Lightswitch with Halo 3, and we stayed through Halo Reach. We are fans of the series, we are TRUE fans, and it’s honestly a little disheartening to see so many people on here “claiming” they won’t be buying the game without actually seeing any of these ‘features’ for themselves. Say what you will, but as it is, I will always buy a title if it has Halo in it, same as I will buy any book, or movie just because I love the fiction, and that’s coming from a fan who started playing the game only the multiplayer aspect and was later drawn into the story.
Accepting everything a developer/publisher shoves down your throat makes you a true Halo fan? Sorry, but no.
Buying a video game for a title does not make you a true fan, it makes you an idiot. A person needs to test and research a video game, not blindly hand over 60+ dollars because of its name.
I’m a true Halo fan. I can’t wait for Halo 4, and I loved Reach. In fact, I’m playing it right now.
exactly, no-one has seen any gameplay with these new features in and they already saying its going to be “bad”.
Here here!
Amen to that. I’m cool with the announcements so far. It’s all contemporary shooter stuff, really, and some of the changes can probably be reversed, even if they are detrimental (which I doubt they will be, as they likely don’t detract from me having a fun time).
I really like the sound of Spartan Ops, but I wish they gave it a name that rolled off the tongue easier. I’m sure I’ll learn to dig it.
Besides, it’ll still play like Halo. Every Halo game has had that feel that lets me dive right into an unfamiliar battlefield without feeling disoriented.
EXCEPT HALO WARS. >:|

Oh so you guys weren’t around when CE dropped?
I see how you can have low standards then.

Buying a game because it’s official canon, and not dropping it because of something that’s been read to me, does make me a true fan. You have no idea what exactly is going to happen in the game, and I’d buy it for campaign alone. Sorry you care more about your MP stats than the story of a unique Universe.
I am a true Halo fan, and I do not approve of these multiplayer changes. A true fan does not sit by and watch as his favorite franchise is dismantled.

Quickly, complain about everything despite knowing nothing to show your true fandom.
I’m on your side, but this thread makes me cringe with the uses of the words “Official” and “true”.

I just see Halo CE as the Holy Grail and didn’t see much wrong with it, the PC version however…

Sorry, just tired of seeing “Official Halo is Dead” “Official Halo blah blah blah” with nothing but complaining. This is for true fans to discuss about Halo 4, however I expected the few haters.
I have every halo book
I have smany of the mcfarlane figures
I have Halo legends
I Have the legendary edition of every halo and the halo 2/ wars limited
I almost have all the achivements from all the games
I have been playing halo since november of 2001
I am a true halo fan
and i’m not happy
LOL.
News flash, blind acceptance of whatever 343 throws at you doesn’t make you a ‘true fan’, nor does it make someone else an untrue fan or whatever. It just makes you gullible. And it usually means you don’t know enough about what makes your franchise great to identify garbage when it’s presented to you.

Who said anything about excepting it? I don’t like a lot of the things Reach did but I still played it, I just avoided the the things I didn’t like the best I could. There’s no Armor Lock in SWAT for example.
The thing about Halo 4 is that it’s new and we don’t know how these new things will actually play out and work. People around here are ready to snap their disks before they even got their hands on it and that’s just childish. You’re all coming off as spoiled brats. That’s not to say I don’t understand your reason but seriously, chill out.
Your more likely to get Ice Cream by being a big boy versus throwing that tantrum at Wal Mart. Your concerns are noted and they will explain themselves when the time comes. Just be patient.
double post

I’ve played the campaigns of Halo 3,2, ans CE more than their multiplayers. I spent hours upon hours on Halo 3s campaign alone. I bought my xbox and xbox 360 for Halo, nothing else. I play Halo for its gameplay formula. Screwing that formula up with crap from games I disdain should not give me ecstatic thoughts, and it definitely does not give me those thoughts.
