Hopefully this changes the way people go about leaving their feedback there’s no reason to be disrespectful or just cruel about it just give feedback on what you think needs to be fixed that’s the reason these forums exist however something he didn’t really mention about when he said what they’ve been doing for six years the Halo infinite campaign is supposedly around 40 hours long that alone probably took up most of their development time as that was probably what they focused on first rather than the multiplayer

one can only hope so not many folks are keen are changing their minds with stuff like this but if it does that would be great

see its folks like you that cause this to happen not for the better but for the worst they care about this game as we do we all want this game to succeed and this negativity isn’t gonna help it

His post is the Gravity Hammer of “Ya’ll need to settle down right quick”

and it’s expected to, like any time someone on here says “Okay maybe write a constructive and well thought out post AFTER you use search?” the reply is gamer screeching and acting like the sky is falling/grabbing pitchforks.

Why am I needing to wait for that? I have plenty valid issues on hand. And none of my point changes if they do that.

I dont think this post at all is going to stop the torrent of negativity.
Honey moon phase has ended and its only going to get worse until content and changes are added

I think it will shift to the SP side of the house next week, and we will see less derogatory statements on the MP side, momentarily. I think the mods have loosened their grip on what goes on in the forums lately, because every single thread has the same toxicity about the same three topics.

At least someone gets it. :joy: It’s crazy how manipulative these people are. If you’re out here defending them and feeling bad, well they got you. Instantly play victim, they have been called out on it and now added to that with “Don’t want sympathy”.

That guy was literally mocking one of the fans on twitter yesterday at the time. I want them to just shut up and prove me wrong. No one here set out to just hate them and attack them, there’s reason for it. (Not justifying abuse, they’re human also).

I just want to give them credit so bad and it’s so irritating seeing what they have here, the potential is great but all the talk with the game types, I’m just don’t buy it at all, they could have added more than this, all the classics then over the span of the years, test their new stuff. Collect that data. Their issue has always been trying to overstep the mark, just keep it simple and keep it Halo and they’ll always get the credit.

Honestly, after reading that message it comes off to me as a big slap in the face to all the old school Halo players like me. I bought every single Halo game, including the original one, Halo CE the day it launched. The beauty of the games were the variety of game types available at launch. I for one despise oddball. The new strongholds and stockpile game types don’t flatter either. It seems that the devs decided to make Halo what THEY want to see be popular and not what makes the franchise great in the eyes of the player base. To me it’s one of the issues with modern gaming, the compulsive need by devs to tell players what they should like about a game, it’s a trend that’s visible in most AAA games over the last 5-6 years. It’s quite sad to see this once mighty franchise getting hate from every which way because the devs gave dropped the ball so badly in terms of graphics and playlists. If the devs truly wanted to make as great a game as they could, what have they been doing these last 5 is years, and in the last 13 months since the game was initially delayed? They’ve knows for ages that forge wasn’t coming. Same thing goes for co-op. Those are pillars of the core game for crying out loud.

It’s clearly spelled out that they are more interested in converting new players rather than working to maintain the existing playerbase and franchise fans. To have ske7ch come out and say for all intents and purposes that the F2P business model is the future and they are actively attempting to convert new players shows how far the mark has been missed by 343. I feel that the entire post by ske7ch comes off as a “don’t be mean to us, woe is me and mine” post. It’s incredibly disingenuous to a player base who have come to call them in the carpet for their horrible handling of a situation they have made.

In truth I don’t actually think they knew what they were doing when they made the monetization store they copied it from other games pretty much and they are asking for feedback because they want to know ways they can change it they want positive feedback like feedback that helps the game not being negative like you’re being and by the way the reason why the multiplayer feels half baked is because all of their time and effort went into The campaign which is supposed to be around 40 hours long that is definitely something that’s going to take years especially with how Halo infinite looks I’d like to see you make something that is 40 seconds long that is the same as halos graphics good smooth animations everything and then tell me how long that took you to make because I guarantee you it’ll take you more than an hour to do something like that it would probably even take someone who has training in animation longer than an hour to configure something that is 40 seconds long properly

I think what it illustrates more than anything else is that 343 is not monolithic. There seems to be a LOT of tension between the passionate Halo fans who make the game and the suits who make the FTP demands. This is the closest they’ve come to explicitly discussing this dynamic.

Summary

A dev cycle of a game consisting of SP and MP traditionally has 2 separate dev teams. The point you’ve brought up now is incompetence. If 343 have dumped all their time into campaign as you say, where’s co-op? Why were the graphics H2 graphics during the showcase that got meme’d into the dirt? The thought is nice but doesn’t hold water when drilled down into.

If 344 is incapable of operating a distinct team for SP and MP, then management needs to be addressed as a failure. If the actual devs aren’t good enough, which I suspect may be the case, then that’s a hiring issue and must be addressed. There is no reason under the sun why the framework of a Halo game has to be so radically dismembered and Frankenstein’d back together to create the abomination that were going to have to put up with for the next 9iah months.

This game reminds me so much of the downfall of Anthem that it’s pathetic. I want nothing more than to rekindle the magic of taking turns playing H2 co-op in my dorm room with my buddies and having a blast. The game just feels like an empty shekk of what Halo is supposed to be.

I just wish this would get some of the 343 haters to realize these attacks on devs isn’t gonna help infinte its gonna hurt it in both short and long term

343 devs are human they cant magically make a patch to fix everything in 1 week or day they have lives families hobbies friends outside of work let them be human and stop acting like brats that think the world revolves around them

Isn’t it only the split screen co-op that’s currently not available

and yet some folks cant see that they see ‘pr stunt not fixing anything’ and thats it they dont see the forest through the tress here

Keep pumping material and a little tweak of the BP, this is the most fun I have had on a FPS game for years, I cant afford to put 10 hours a day into it. I might get an hour here and there through the week and maybe more on the weekend.

Still love it and cant wait to see it grow!

we all do even I do its just that some people on here would rather see it flop then it grow

With how big halo infinite is and how big the campaign is and the multiplayer is supposed to be a beta at the moment and they’re still obviously going to be working on it but again you’re also looking at this as if they are essentially machines and can just pump things out without any errors whatsoever it’s being made by people, people tend to make mistakes and sometimes have to redo things and would you rather they delayed the game again so instead of being able to play the obviously broken and not finished version of the game we would then have nothing to play at all

By ske7ch’s own admission the battle pass and cosmetics were completed prior to the rest of the main game. This begs the question, who was responsible for the trainwreck that has become this dev cycle? The components of Halo are simple. Campaign. Multiplayer. Forge. Theater. Now in those components, yeah there’s a kit of moving parts, I get that. Why reinvent the wheel in terms of MP playlists when you know what has been a staple since H2 MP practically gave birth to online multiplayer?

It’s the audacity coming from the people calling the shots at 343, by their actions and choices, have basically said to us players that we don’t know Halo and their version is the right version. I am disgusted with ske7ch and his comments. I do not think 343 deserves any pity, not one single iota of it. They created this mess and now the chickens are coming home to roost and 343 is upset cause we have earned the right over the last 20 years to call them out on this garbage they’ve put out for us.
