Official Petition FOR Armor Abilities in Reach.

I think that armor abilities ad a great depth to the game and add great functionality to the maps. They were designed around the armor abilities and vice-versa. I know there are more of you who think like me out there, there’s gotta be.

Don’t be a jerk man. We’re trying to keep these forums civil. If you don’t agree, just ignore the thread, no need to post in it just to say you don’t want to.

No thank you!

haha no, AA’s destroyed Reach…

I don’t like acting like a mini-mod, but seriously, if you don’t agree, don’t post. I along with many others don’t want these forums becoming another Bungie.net. shudders

I respectfully disagree. Some of the armor abilities are cool. Sprint, evade, active camo, hologram, drop shield, and jet pack all have a purpose that brings a positive influence to the game. Armor lock, however, only attracts noobs to halo and nobody wants that. Honestly, if rumors are true, i am delighted that 343i is getting rid of armor lock in MM. Then, noobs will actually have to fight and not hide in invincibility.

This is the problem the game feels like maps and armor abilities were created in seperate vacuums, no cover from jetpackers on most maps, sprint gets you any where; destroying call outs, invis exploits break so many maps I can’t count them, AL sux, bubble shield is just as bad (slowing game play and putting the advantaged in a poor situation).
Sorry but I feel like the maps or AAs were made with out much input about the other.

ummm nooo AA ruin halo a better idea is a petition to remove them completely

No, AA are not what Halo is supposed to be.

Halo Reach has proved that AA arent always the best and many gamers now suggest that we should trash AA. Really what we need is new ones! SPRINT and JETPACK should stay but the others have to go! 343 has to make sure that gamers get a refined AA experience. Any ideas?!? I look forward to reading your comments!!

all AAs are bad 1, just another reason halo1-3 are best (excluding the flares and stuff in 3)

No, please no.

Sprint removes the reason to shoot or throw grenades, all anyone does is rush to get a double beatdown, it’s like dual-wielding in Halo 2, but worse.

Jet pack is just broken, it’s impossible to disagree. You gain the high ground wherever you are, at any time, ever.

Since when was dual wielding bad? It gave the smg, pistol, and plasma weapons a chance against the BR. In fact dual wielding discouraged people to triple melee.

It turned the “Golden Triangle” of guns, grenades, and melee into just guns. Didn’t you notice that most of the TUs for Halo 2 nerfed dual wielding?

Uh, no. AAs ruined the game for everybody. If there’s going to be any innovation going on, it better not be someone stupid equipment gimmick Bungie’s been trying to put on Halo for the past 7 years. What ever happened to stuff like being able to dual wield, or the unique power ups?

The only thing I saw nerfed was the pistol. Other than that, I thought dual wielding was a great addition. Dual wielding didn’t necessarily render grenades and melee useless, it simply added dimension to close quarters gun gameplay. Melee was only used as a last resort, unlike Halo 3, where melees are everything in close quarters. Along with the unique melee, where it would get a slight strength boost if you lunged while running or jumping, created a good balance between relying on your weapon and on your melee. Grenades were far from useless. In my opinion Halo 2 grenades were just perfect: not too powerful, like in Halo CE and Reach, but not completely useless like in Halo 3. It helped tremendously in gameplay if you bounced it just right, but at the same time grenades weren’t exactly a get-out-of-jail-free card.

Not all of them, but they should return in future Halo games.

That would be a resounding “No.”

That’s to your opinion on AA’s for H4, and your attitude towards people who disagree with you. Flap your gums and wave your pickets all you like, I think most of us would rather 343i ignore your squawking to add something that many Halo vets feel have wrecked the feel of the game to the next installment.

That includes campaign!
