I think one of the best things that Hog Wild could add is the ability to have a more formal race gametype like what was found in Halo 3. Halo 5 has already shown that it can support multi-team playlists, therefore it would be viable to return rocket race (and other race gametypes) to Halo 5. This would be a huge asset to forge. Currently the community has created several amazing racetracks that can be seen showcased on various youtube channels, but the races are just disorganized messes without real objectives and checkpoints to make them truly fair and competitive. 343 wouldn’t even need to make dev race maps as the community maps are top notch.
I’ve been a beggar for a race gametype since Halo 5’s release. I really hope they don’t miss this opportunity.

Yeah so have I. This would be the perfect opportunity for them to include it. So far we don’t know of any gamemodes being added to the next update, so I really hope that it is Race.
If I’m not reading too much into it, the livestream teaser suggests the possibility of Rocket Hog race.
To my mind, race is long overdue.
It would be pretty awesome to see race return. Maybe they could even throw in a community race track playlist as well.

I believe you about this though, if anyone knows something about race mode it’s you. I’ve seen your forge creations they are amazing.

Thanks! By wishlist I mean asking for things like the ability to disable hijacking, option to race on foot without vehicles, team racing, and spawning directly in vehicles.

That’s a great idea!!! I’m going to update my OP with some links to great forge race maps sometime soon (hopefully) and I’ll add some of these suggestions. I also liked your suggestion about limiting infected from being able to board vehicles.

I really hope so. I want multi-team rocket race or something similar so badly.

You can’t fault me for hoping. I will admit I keep getting relatively let down with each update. Although even though I’m not an infection fan… I must say those community created infection maps are top notch. I can’t wait until more community maps get added to the multiplayer rotation. We really should get a community created arena playlist.
