Official Halo: Mythos Discussion [Spoilers]

Please discuss halo mythos in this thread! Spoiler zone so, view thread at your own peril! No need for spoiler tags in this thread.

This official, comprehensive, authoritative guide to the Halo universe, written in collaboration with 343 Industries, the developers of the “Halo” franchise, marks the first time that a book incorporates the entirety of the “Halo” canon, including the games, books, comics, live-action and animated entertainment, and more.
The book also includes over 50 specially commissioned full-color paintings showcasing vehicles, artificial intelligence, weapons, ships, and never-before-seen aspects of Halo environments. The amazing illustrations come from a variety of renowned illustrators, including Jean-Sébastien Rossbach, Leonid Kozienko, Benjamin Carré, Isaac Hannaford, and 343’s internal art team, too.
For the first time ever, the timeline of the Halo universe is available in one place, charting humanity’s battles against alien forces of the Covenant, Forerunners, and the Flood–making this book an absolute must-have for Halo fans.

I can’t imagine a job much more exciting than that!

I am really interested to see what format you guys used to squeeze in all that information into one book. I’m half picturing a Halo version of World History: From Past to Present style fold out timeline. But then I would have to staple it to the wall and my wife wouldn’t be too happy…

Hey Grim, you’re the man, man.

I’m dying to see the inside of this book, but at the same time I don’t want it spoiled. What do I do!? D=

I feel like these types of books are always a bit of a double edged sword.

Its cool that they’re made and its cool to have them, but in five or six years you’ve basically got at least two new games, a handful of new novels and whatever else is released. Suddenly your snazzy story book is outdated.

Think of it more of a History book though. It has information up to a certain date.

Can’t wait for this to come out here in Aus on the 1st of October.

This is exactly what i was waiting for. I’m surprised a spoiler thread got created several days before its release but no matter. Go on! Spoil it all! There’s no way I’m buying a physical book afterall. A couple of days left and the information i want will be available.

Does anyone know if there will be an online version available? I’m backpacking, and can’t buy a physical copy.
Thanks

THE 6TH?!
OH COME ON IM GONNA BE ON VACATION!

Well I have a tradition where I make the discussion thread for the book/content about to release so… I really want to keep it up.
And , something something grim… wait, what? Did you hear anything?

just 2 days left woot!

I’m really excited to get my hands on this book! From the sample pages I’ve seen it looks amazing. Mine will be arriving in the mail about a week after release. Oh well.

ss I said in the other thread, I can’t wait to see stuff visualized from the novels. Particularly from the Forerunner saga.

2 days. So excited

yeah I cant wait

6 October release in the UK via Amazon UK

In Europe we have to wait 6 October. Can someone of you take some photos or record a video to let us see what we’ll have in our hands?

Apparently in the US it’s already out in Barnes and Noble. I know a guy that picked it up yesterday
