Offensive Gamertag? Why the cap? WHY?!?!

I’ve had this problem since Reach; cannot upload any maps/pics/vids. Pretty sh*tty. Apparently Tryptafiend is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too offensive for some kid that’s pointing a shotgun at someone with intent to kill to see. Explanation(s)? Also, why does 343 feel it’s necessary to limit players on being skilled? the lvl 70 cap is garbage. I work at GameStop and have spent well over what I should have on multiple, multiple copies of this game only to be smacked in the face because I gave my girlfriend the LE and I settled for a SE and map pass. It’s so rewarding to be nice. Here’s a pro-tip, 343: DO NOT under ANY circumstances act like EA or BioWare unless you want to bundle every game you’ve ever made/ever will make for $40 while praying some moron will buy it.

The cap is temporary. It is a pre-order bonus for thsoe with the LE and console editions. You will get the whole 130 ranks once they release them for the public. 343i said that when the community reaches certain checkpoints (I don’t know if that is when enough people hit the cap or when the community average is high enough) they will release more specializations for standard edition owners.

Call up MS support about your gamertag. They should allow you to change it for free.

@Rasmus - Combination of words. Tryptamine, of Dimethyl Tryptamine (DMT) is the most potent psychedelic drug known to man. It also causes you to dream. Your head makes it while you sleep, and is in everything in the world around us. Plants, animals… everything. Fiend- a villain. Tryptafiend: A nightmarish psychedelic nemesis. I like it and don’t think I should have to change it.

Anything even remotely related to either is probably black-listed in their system.

You were skilled if you were a high rank in Halo 3.
You had no life if you were a high rank in Halo: Reach.
You play too often if you’re a high rank in Halo 4.

You’re getting “skilled” and “frequent” mixed up.

Also, Kal, GameStop is only a part-time job for the discount on games, so don’t try to get too clever. Just go frequent some Blops 2 or something.

The ban on any (especially an unoffensive) gamertag is sh*tty, and the cap is worse. Anyone else have gamertag issues/think 343 needs to re-evaluate itself?

did you play before the 20th? yes obviously youre SR70. So in the next 7 days, youll get an email with a code in it from microsoft/343 for the last six specs.
