That giant ball…we can pretty much rule out that it’s a forerunner in a cool ball (lol)
so what does that make it?
i almost want to say it looks like a large AI construct…not in the vein of guilty spark, but something of a higher design. my spidey-sense tingles when thinking of offensive bias…
what are your thoughts on this? it’s entirely possible that offensive bias has gone rampant in the last 100,000 years…and it’s basically a cheaper/less intelligent/more brutal construct of mendicant. we also have no idea what has happened to it/him since the last forerunner recordings when he defeated mendicant.
i kinda want to bet that it’s offensive bias…a fella can dream, can’t he?
That’s a good thought. Maybe the forerunners along with offensive bias fled to requiem after the halo activation.
> That’s a good thought. Maybe the forerunners along with offensive bias fled to requiem after the halo activation.
SPOILER ALERT
well…offensive bias held off and defeated the advancing mendicant bias to allow the forerunners to activate the rings. after the battle, offensive bias disassembled mendicant bias and took a piece of it to be studied at what would be assumed as the greater ark…
/SPOILER ALERT
i’m just thinking that it displayed some of the characteristics of even 343 guilty spark…the movement speed, the invisibility, scanning stuff (xD)…not only that but there is lore to back up this idea i guess. idk, i’m just hoping at this point lol
What if it is a Cryptum? The color scheme makes it look like Forerunner tech, and the shielding (invis) around it reminds of of the disguise portrayed in Cryptum.
On that picture it looks like it is trapped. Maybe master chief releases it and it is not evil!
sad…there goes my awesome offensive bias theory xD cryptum it is lolol
How does that picture prove anything? Read the halo 3 last terminal MB says that OB is on a far away planet high in the sky what that big sphere doing.
I remember somewhere it was confirmed the ball was a cryptum. Used by The Didact before so perhaps again after he fired The Array. Offensive Bias should still be intact maybe he controls the Promethians.

It was confirmed as a cryptum by microsoft a few days ago
I wouldn’t rule out an Offensive Bias appearance at some point, his fate is unknown.

We could do that, or we could observe that it’s probably a forerunner in a cool ball.
wasnt what ball confirmed to be a cryptum? and dont forerunners put themselves inside those cryptums to exile them selves?
so how can we rule out that its a forerunner inside it?
If it’s the same giant ball that I think you’re talking about, it’s been confirmed by bs angel that it’s a cryptum. As far as I know, the only one who has a cryptum is the Didact. I recommend for you to look at the Halo Universe forums, they have some pretty cool theories of who’s inside of it.

This. The ball may be a cryptum, but i’d be suprised if we didn’t learn what happened to Offensive Bias.
