Ranked slayer is all I really want. 
just finished my last final today and I’ve playing SWAT ever and been having a blast. who else bros?

It should go without saying that it should be ranked no one asked for it not to be
I mean Ranked is generally way worse/less fun than Social, so it makes sense to prioritize the higher playerbase area

I knew it, I called it 343 does something helpful people still aren’t happy. Just be glad we actually got the playlist.

It makes no sense to have a vanilla slayer playlist ranked when it’s only gonna be replaced in a month by that more “robust” affair Ske7ch keeps babbling about. Having tanks stripped after a month is just one more thing that will piss everyone off. I can see why they did that. Fiesta…? Common. You wanna rank on random weapons. A glorified action sack playlist. Swat…ok I’ll give you this one. But they are probably doing this to make sure those of us, including myself can still play objective gametypes in a…wait for it…HEALTHY PLAYLIST. Because every single one of you mad about this knows your dropping objective filled rank the moment you get a ranked slayer and that’s exactly what 343 and the competitive community doesnt want
At least all this week’s challenges are for Ranked.
I’ve counted 14 of mine so far. And swapping them leads to more Ranked. Ugh

I’m so tired of reading this. You play the same quality of opponents in ranked as any other playlist. The main difference we see in the rank distributions as of now appears to be gold/silver/bronze players are largely not playing ranked - even though if y’all would just play it - you would play each other.
For those who say - I don’t want to ruin someone’s ranked experience - you won’t - you’ll be playing with similarly skilled opponents and teammates. All you gotta do is try.
Don’t play a competitive team based fps AT ALL unless you want to play to win, regardless of ranked or not. Do you really think just because it’s not ranked some of us don’t care that you went 2-18 while you just drive a mongoose around the map or afk or just do stupid stuff- you are ruining that social game too. If you aren’t playing to win in a team based fps, you are ruining someone’s experience, seriously go play a game mode like FFA or a custom or another game where your selfish choices only impact you.
All the people complaining that people don’t try to win have a valid complaint, regardless of the mode. It’s okay to not actually be good - it’s not okay to not actually try.
I really only want to see the addition of ranked SWAT. Most of the of the other game modes are better off left social.
They seem like it to me, haven’t found 1 chill game yet. Everyone is sliding, jumping, crouching, cross mapping, pre firing etc.
Honestly couldn’t get any sweater in these matches I’m getting. Watching replays is like you’re watching 4man comp or hackers lol

Man, the internet police sure do get angry at the idea that people would not tryhard in an unranked game mode that lacks competitive settings and offers no meaningful consequence for winning or losing.
Sorry, but I will never bother trying in social. Some of you must be kids who just weren’t around in the Halo 2 and Halo 3 days, but those days were amazing… everyone who wanted to try went into ranked, and then once you got all your sweat out, you went into social. Everyone had the option of two completely different game experiences.
Do you know what made those games so successful at building a huge community? They did not dictate to players how to play. Putting strict SBMM into every game mode is a form of dictating to players how to play, and that only harms the game and the community in the long run.
I suppose today the idea of having two different game experiences in one video game is apparently too much for the mind of the modern gamer. Everything has to be silly, or everything has to be sweaty. Can’t have both

The only way you’re gonna get a non sweaty match in any halo game is if they made a beginners playlist that locks out everyone platinum or higher. It’s just the nature of the game.
This was not true in Halo 2 social lists, or Halo 3 social lists, or the entirety of Halo: Reach.
You guys have just forgotten what it’s like to have a mix of competitive/sweaty and casual/relaxed playlists in the same game.

I spend every game trying to have fun. Sometimes that aligns with the objective of whatever the game type is. Sometimes it doesn’t. Who are you to tell me how I should have fun in a video game?
You’re right, there are a lot of people who didn’t play halo 2 or 3 and it clearly shows. Halo 2 and 3 were amazing. People didn’t say “sweat” back then - you just played the game and took it for what it was no matter the outcome. It was all about who f’d your mom and tbags for everyone. It use to be literally enough to just play the game and have fun, maybe spend some time in ranked to see where we fall - now we have to have infinite grind. Now we don’t talk, we don’t try to make new friends, we are too worried about a little symbol next to our names, too worried about having to try, too worried about jumping through X hoop while in Y game mode to get Z artificial XP to get a slightly different piece of gear to equip to our spartan.
Customs are for messing around but okay - you can mess around in social as much as you want. Frankly - I just never want to hear you or anyone else whine about it. And now we have bots - mess around with them, bring your buddies. It’s detrimental to anyone else on your team at the time, but if everyone is fine with it, then who cares. If you haven’t been paying attention though - one of the top complaints is people have no incentive to try and win - and thus don’t try and win. FFA will alleviate some of this pain for some people and eventually custom browser should do so even more.
Just another player who gets stuck with you and your detrimental actions.
Go play bots, customs or with friends who also don’t care if you lose if you aren’t going to try and win.

No. If you don’t like the way other people play, then maybe you should go play custom games, and stop whining on the forums about people not playing in ways that you approve.
Plus, I have challenges to complete!
