Of the current Halo 4 maps that have been shown, which do you guys think will be the best? This question just applys to the maps that have been shown since we haven’t seen all the maps yet so there’s no way of telling which one is the best. But which is the best of the one’s that have been shown.
Longbow - This looks good to me. I’m excited to see there’s a snowy map. I for one loved Avanlanche and Sidewinder. Longbow looks like a promising map.
Haven - It looks fairly decent to me, can’t really tell yet. But I’m sure it will be good.
Adrift - I don’t think I’ll like this one as much as the others, if I do at all. This reminds me of a two leveled version of condemned. But who knows? I just have a feeling I won’t like it. But I could easily be wrong.
I wonder if that map they showed while demonstrationg forge will be a MP map or just a forge enviroment. Hopefully they forge something on it to make it a MP map at launch. But hopefully there aren’t a ton of forge maps at launch like in Reach.
All the maps are stretched out and enlarged because of sprint, most gameplay I’ve seen, the person playing is running around looking for the enemy. Haven and Adrift are supposedly 4v4 maps, yet they look suitable for BTB. They all look aesthetically pleasing, but I expect slow matches.

there won’t be slow matches with sprint implemented. However on the classic playlists there might be.

Sprint doesn’t help, I saw players SPRINTING around looking. How often did you have to run around Heretic, or Countdown, or Zealot to find someone? Rarely, if ever. Those are arena style maps, good 4v4 maps, and such maps won’t work in H4 because of sprint, everything will have to be large to accommodate sprint. It’s because of the constant sprinting to find enemies that will make the game slow, and not as chaotic as before.
Haven looks like it’s going one of my favourites. Small, simple and pretty fast paced. I’d love to see how it plays out.
Longbow looks pretty good, Adrift looks about the same.
I like Adrift. I hate maps that have no purpose like Haven. Just a load of structures and long corridors compiled together but it looks like it’ll be good for gameplay. I don’t think Longbow looks like it’s finished yet so I won’t make my decision on that. I like the Ravine.
