Of Manti and Skulls

BS Angel: If you lose a wing every time someone posts a leak, do you get a wing back every time one of the mods Banhammers a guy leaking leaks leakily?

Concerning this week’s Bulletin: I’m disappointed.

Not because you didn’t talk about the LE no. But because you told me that the Mantis started out as the Yggdrasil. Because you told me that skulls don’t have to be discovered before they can be used. Because you kept all of the plain jane skulls and didn’t add the new ones from the Mythic Maps.

Sorry to hear your disappointed. I personally enjoyed the information refresh and addition.

Well, I thought it was pretty cool… :I

I was expecting milk chocolate. I got dark chocolate.

I was really looking forward to a skull hunt. Halo 3 did it, it was an extra little challenge before you could actually do the real challenges. Terminals will be fun to hunt and all, but they don’t modify gameplay.

It would have at least been nice to have some bonus skulls to search for, now be given EVERYTHING immediately. Give us all the gold skulls maybe, then the silvers (IWHBYD, Blind, Grunt B-day, add even more) should be searchable. It’s weak, that severely disappointed me.

I like the update especially on the Mantis. I’m glad 343 loves Halo Legends much as I do. As for the skulls disappointed there will be no hunting them back in the Halo 2 and 3 days :frowning: As for the video on the ‘leaks’ I have to agree it makes every Spartan sad and fall from the sky while in jet pack mode :frowning:

the title of this is hilarious

<3 Mantis

Not exactly the most info-heavy bulletin nor one the community was expecting. Personally though, I love me some Meltdown. What an amazing looking map.

Remind me next time you ever get a vacation to come to the U.S., I’ll make it worth your while… kudo’s if you get the reference.

Anyone know what the thing at section 3 is? (icon, which you can click on and a pic comes up).

Its probably a forerunner symbol, but i’m mainly talking about the pic that comes up when you click it.

To be honest, I never understood why they named a mech - a tool of destruction and war - after the World Tree. Far better if then would have named it the Jotun, rather than naming a glorified tractor that. Or perhaps name it the Surtur.

And they named the armor we all wear in game after Thor’s hammer.

Most likely because it was a commissioning by not only an outside animation studio but a foreign language one they probably just did a wikipedia search on Norse mythology and picked a name that sounds cool.

Or the name was given post development of the armor since it’s creation lead to the development of the MJOLNIR armor systems.

I’d hedge my bets on “it sounded cool.” Mainly because it’s full designation is the HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark I Prototype Armor Defense System. Named after the sword Beowulf used to slay Grendel’s mother, and then the World Tree.

What?

In more than one way, Legends made me cringe. That name designation could have done with much more study.

Anywho… I like the Mantis. Good name, good for the bones, good for the kids. I pity the fool that tries to take me on in one! It even looks somewhat Mantis-like (about as much as the Scorpion looks like a scorpion.)

Meltdown looks freaking awesome! There really wasn’t a lot of news. I don’t care about pumpkins… The skull news wasn’t good. No new ones and we can’t search for them! Owww

Scorpion actually looks like a scorpion.

Mantis? Not so much.

I thought it was a good and fun bulletin
