Kind of on the topic of halo infinite’s 10-year plan i was hoping the one of the DLCs would be an ODST expansion but then it dawned on me that no one has seen ODSTs in infinite and they’ve been absent since halo reach with the exception of halo wars 2. I really want ODSTs in infinite as they are by far my favorite unit in all of halo. I hope they return and who knows, maybe someone from 343 will comment or if this gets enough attention maybe be addressed in the next content drop. I am aware of the ODST symbols in the discover hope trailer but we have yet to see them. I really hope they return and they are done well, like halo wars 2, even though they used the halo 2 anniversary design i think and hope 343 will do them justice. maybe we’ll even be able to have both the halo 3/reach design and the H2A/HW2 designs together side by side. i can hope. i know people have been talking about things they want back in infinite but i haven’t heard much about ODSTs which could be that people expect them but i hope its not that people forget them. like to hear some thoughts.
I would definitely love to see the return of the ODSTs. I’m doubtful we would get a full fledged ODST DLC, but a man can hope.

ODST as a branch of the Marine Corps definitely still exists in the post-war environment, but with the advent of Spartan-IVs relaistically it’ll be a pale imitatino of its former self and most of the good ones will probably be picked for S-IV training anyway.
We know Infinity has a complement of 750 ODSTs (compared to 5000 normal marines) but if you compare that to the Spartans numbering in the Hundreds, they’re obviously nowhere near as important from a force projection perspective.
343 knows how much ODST matter to the players, I heavily expect we’ll be seeing them again in Halo Infinite. Lore be -Yoink!-, they’re cool and are essentially just a stronger variant of standard marines. I expect they’ll be out on Zeta Halo
