To be fair none of the helmets look quite right to me.

He means armor that looks like ODST armor. Nightfall looks like it has Down Syndrome, Headhunter has the stupid cheeks, and the others don’t look anything like traditional ODST armor.

firstly a lot of the armour is hard to even see without unlocking it all first, secondly I’m sure there is more to wanting better ODST armour than what is available.

Okay you want lore,
Nightfall resides from the Nightfall armor that ONI spec ops use and was converted to MJOLNIR. Never does it mention ODST, it just looks cosmetically similar. Like mark IV to Mark V
Hell jumper is a prototype armor, again cosmetics only
Void dancer has nothing to do with ODST
and jump master is just a high altitude landing armor, but looking at the intro to Fire team Osiris in halo 5, I don’t see why a specialized armor is needed for that. Plus it looks freaking stupid with that giant forhead, like fotus.
Thing is, we have had 2 MJOLNIR ODST armor in lore already in halo 3 and Halo Reach, and 4 (but it looked dumb imo)
Just take the model from either H3: ODST, Reach, or Halo: new blood and call it ODST gen 2

You say “classics” like you aren’t aware that Nightfall is designed to be an homage to the Halo 2 ODSTs. They were the first, meaning Nightfall is your classic ODST armor.

I think you’re wrong there, again cosmetically night fall looks similar to ODST but it’s not ODST. The closest armor to look like Halo 2’s ODST was the halo 4 armor.
We canonically have an ODST MJOLNIR armor people, it was gen 1 in Reach. 343i should either use the H3:ODST, Halo Newblood, or Reachs model and upgrade it to gen 2
YES Different shoulder pauldrons that were seen in Halo 3: ODST would be awesome. And give us a classic ODST not a smashed in helmet like it was created off the assembly line like that and quality control didn’t care and was like “IF IT WORKS DON’T FIX IT TROLOLOLOLOL”.
