Why are there so many ODST variants? What’s the story behind them? What’s your preference

I like Buck’s helmet and the Nightfall armor, but I haven’t unlocked either of them yet.

There’s not? In the game there was a different helmet on dare and that’s it. Nightfall armour is another and I guess helljumper is the gen2 version

No one in Alpha Nine (Buck’s squad in ODST) had the same armor. You can see varying helmet attachments, shoulders, and backpacks. Also, the ODSTs in Halo 2 looked different… more like Reach’s Air Assault in my opinion.
