ODST multiplayer copy

I think Bungie should of made a new multiplayer for your ODST. Do you think they should have done that or not?

No, Halo 3’s multiplayer was still strong at that point and a new multplayer for ODST would have split up the fanbase too much.

Bungie was under contractual agreement at this point with Microsoft to spew out as many Halo games as possible. Microsoft saw the success of annual Call of Duty games and put enormous pressure on Bungie to produce as much Halo content as they could. (This can be noted in any Destiny dev diary, later in Halo: Reach dev diarys and so on).

The reason ODST doesn’t have any Multiplayer is because ODST was originally supposed to be DLC just for Halo: 3

However, Bungie was not happy with the way Microsoft was putting pressure on them to produce video games for the Halo franchise, and in order to fulfill the contractual obligation they had previously set when the Xbox360 came out (Under Halo 3) they used ODST as a full fledged boxed retail release instead of as Halo 3 DLC as originally planned.

This way, Bungie was only responsible for making one more game (instead of 2 more games), which would be Halo: Reach.

Also, not to be THAT guy, but Halo 3: ODST has multiplayer  and it’s a lot of fun. (Firefight of course, but I obviously know what you meant in the thread topic)

I agree but bungie could have had a lot more money and fans if they weren’t lazy for odst. Besides leveling up a odst would be cool.

They could have had a lot of more fans. And leveling up a odst would be cool.

There was no laziness involved. Creating a separate multi-player for ODST would have fragmented the population, as already mentioned. They were also working on Reach at the same time, so teams were split between both games and sustain for Halo 3.

I enjoyed the Multiplayer disc more.
