He is refering to the book “Halo: The Flood” where the marines accompany you were ODST, and he is wondering if in the remastered campaign if the marines helping you will use the ODST Model to more fit the books fiction.

Although during the game are not shown, the Pillar of Autumn if it was equipped with several platoons of ODST. Not shown directly in the game because the concept was not developed until ODST Halo 2, but, officially, a group of ODST participated in the attack on the Silent Cartographer, and approach the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Well I’ve seen Army Troopers on Silent Cartographer instead of marines… Maybe ODSTs will replace in some parts.

I think there will be some, but that’s mainly because of their appearance on the new firefight map.

Not necessarily, it could be merely a physical change. In plus, doing that would change gameplay, which isn’t going to happen.

I hope they do it though, it would be pretty awesome.

You may have a point. Unlike the Reach troopers, the CE marines had shields (their armor). Once their shields were dropped, they were easily killed (they had low health). Those shields would go well with the ODSTs. It would be convincing.

if they put ODST marines in halo anniversary, it would be awesome, imagine them being on truth and reconciliation at the beginning, you and them sneaking up on the covenant after jumping of echo 419, with your snipers, along that ledge like a proper sas squad, or whatever you want to call it, but i don’t think so… because… on the first video they released you see the MC being lifted up onto the ship by the grav lift thing, and hes surrounded by normal soldiers with snipers, but that’s just a guess of mine, they might of changed this as it was early on in the game, anyway who’s looking forward to it coming out, and what do you want to see the most?
