Sure does look like a new ODST helmet.
> That’s actually the helmet that Spartan-IVs wear in campaign, and not ODST armour.
Those are ODSTs, not Spartans. Why do people keep thinking they’re Spartans? They have a completely different armor design, and ODST-esq color scheme.

I can’t see your post. I don’t know if that’s something with my computer, but I can’t see it, nonetheless.

If you compare them to the Spartans in multiplayer, they look like they’re wearing the Spartan IV’s armour, plus look how tall they are compared to that Marine.
> That’s actually the helmet that Spartan-IVs wear in campaign, and not ODST armour.
I think it’s ODST because why would 343i make another helmet that looks so similar to ODST, it seems redundant.

You can’t really make a good judgement with the picture. To me, the marine also looks like he isn’t standing straight up, which would make him look shorter.

He didn’t say anything.
He was quoting you for the truth. Repeating what you said, emphasizing it. Showing that he agrees.
It looks more like an ODST helmet if you ask me
> That’s actually the helmet that Spartan-IVs wear in campaign, and not ODST armour.
What if… the Spartans in the campaign are wearing ODST helmets? And I’m pretty sure those are actually ODSTs anyways.
Hmmmmm. Could be Scout…

Oh god, and all this time I though there was a problem with my computer! Posts keep “not showing up” like that and I’ve always been thinking my new computer had some problem.

Because they’re wearing MJOLNIR [GEN2] armour…
Take a look at this collection of screenshots from a Spartan Ops. You can clearly see that it’s MJOLNIR armour, therefore a Spartan-IV. The thrusters at the back are a dead giveaway of MJOLNIR armour, something which can be clearly seen in both images. Also, the design of the armour itself is clearly MJOLNIR. Last I checked, ODSTs could not wear MJOLNIR armour.
No, it’s definitely a Spartan-IV. However, I know I won’t be able to convince anybody, so we’ll see once the game comes out.

I see the thrust pack on the back, but that doesn’t prove anything. Look at how much the marine armor has changed. ODST armor could now feature a built in thrust pack like Mjolnir.
And to me, the rest of the suit looks nothing like Mjolnir [GEN 2] armor.

Keep in mind that there are many variants of MJOLNIR [GEN2], all which have different arms, legs, torsos, etc. However, the black Crysis-like undersuit (which is again visible on this particular armoured individual) is always the same.
But I’ll humour you for a moment. But answer me this, why would there be an ODST in a Spartan Ops cinematic instead of a Spartan-IV?
