ODST: Harvest?

Would anyone be interested in seeing A second ODST game but set on harvest as a prequel? It’s bin a while since we have had a prequel and it would be nice to see a time in the human covenant war where the covenant we’re actually a seat edging threat.

Since the covenant war is over, this would be a good idea to bring halo back to its original roots for a spin-off game. It’d be cool if 343 made ODST Harvest game where we could possibly be crossing paths with Red Team/Omega.

I’m not super invested in the lore, and I read Contact Harvest years ago when it first released. Which ties in to my question: were ODSTs on Harvest?

They weren’t in Contact Harvest, but I think it would make sense for them to have been present during the five-year campaign to retake Harvest. But, unless 343 comes out and states that ODSTs were present at any of the conflicts on Harvest, we may never know.

Maybe a game based of the novel Halo: Glasslands where you play as Mal and Vaz (both are ODSTs).
Or perhaps the ODST involvement on Arcadia.

Would love it

I would like to see another, dreary hopeless ODST based game. I feel like the ‘paradise’ of the beautiful farms of Harvest would make a very interesting game for this idea. Especially considering we all know it ends.

I am intrigued.

“Especially considering we all know it ends.”

this is why I myself have never been a fan of prequel style games, we already know how it ends and that takes the “interesting” out of it for me. It’s why I wasn’t into reach to much, it’s why I was never into borderlands the pre-sequel, why I’ve never been interested in prequel talks for mass effect games, etc etc. why do they interest people when you know how it ends? Why feel any emotion if you know insert name dies? (I felt nothing for the noble team as I knew various Spartans did die on reach so I expected as such) or when a specific event happens in game that was referenced in the sequels and or books?

@OP: this should already say my own stance on the matter, I’m just not interested in prequels, I much rather move forward into something we don’t know about, something that can be expanded upon for future titles.
