Just a thought, a gametype called “ODST”.
At the beginning of the game, you spawn in a UNSC frigate, and drop in a pod.
You drop down in a small map based on any of the Firefight, or Campaign settings in ODST.
You also spawn with a Silenced SMG, Silenced Pistol, and 3 Frag Grenades.
There are multiple dead Covenant and UNSC units scattered throughout these maps.
Weapons and Grenades can be usually be found near them.
The weapons you spawn with are very limited on ammo, so map-weapons are a must.
This radar is similar to ODST’s radar, so you can see the entire map.
The suppressed weapons you spawn with keep you off the radar.
But once out of ammo, radar becomes a danger.
And you are likely to lose ammo quickly since the ODST health bar was so extensive.
This gametype features 4v4 play and a choice from the ODST character armor list.
So does this sound cool?

No, it sounds like garbage!
Forget about the map, sounds like something easily done by a good forger. Just worry about the gametype.
And, I’ll be -Yoink!- if there aren’t suppressed weapons in Halo 4. Customs in Halo 4 need every weapon in all the Halos.
How about instead, they make another ODST game…but instead, make the game like battlefield :).
The game should be class based (assault, medic, recon, support). I would much rather play that they the main halo series lol.
And when you spawn you drop in via pods. Then there should be skill point system like Homefront where you have to earn heavy weapons and vehicles.
It would be fun.
A viable idea, but a bit offtopic. Thread is about a gametype in H4, not a different game.
Plus doesn’t even mention Battlefield. I average about 3 kills per 5 games in there. x.x

lol, why so bad? Even on my bad days I can average 10-12 kills a game.

That sounds really cool, but keep the classes limited in customization- only weapons, possibly a few other abilities like a perk or two that’s unique.
Wouldn’t mind seeing something like this for the firefight mode if they have it, but as a 4v4 mode I cant say I’d be interested

It shouldn’t be like battlefield in any way. It should be like Halo.
If I cared to play battlefield, I’d play it instead of Halo.
Ya know, instead of just tacking on the halo multiplayer to the ODST game, give it its own MP
