Lol. I’m inclined to agree with you there.
Its sadd that people believe swat should be a ranked Playlist when swat has nothing to do with the halo universe but ODST slayer does and it’s awesome! I cant believe I’m the only person that can see this making a great ranked playlist !?

Lore does not equate to making a playlist ranked. Ranked is 100% about gameplay and Swat has been a ranked playlist since the early days of Halo. Sure, ODST Slayer could become a ranked playlist because of the way it plays, but I agree with the sentiment above that it takes away a lot of the fun from any playlist when it becomes ranked.
One question what makes this gametype feel like you’re a ODST over a Spartan? 
Because to me you don’t feel like a ODST at all. Just because you have NO Shield doesn’t make it ODST Gameplay.
Let’s go down the list you don’t clamber slower, throw grenades slower, it still takes two beat downs like a Spartan, you have no shield but don’t die in one headshot, and you still run at the same speed as a Spartan. The list can go on and on, so I really don’t see the difference in the Normal play besides certain abilities missing, starting off with a Silence SMG and Silence Magnum, and Props added to the Normal Maps. WOW! Big difference bro…

Just saying what it feels like is a washed down version of a H5 Spartan putting on ODST Version Armor with something like the Normal Gameplay Experience.
Don’t get the wrong idea I think it would be cool if there was a ODST Mode put into Halo Infinite where you drop in whenever you respawn into the match but calling this ODST

What were the settings of your odst mode ?
whilst I’m enjoying the new meta , I know i would have probably done the odst mode different ,
better hard to say without game testing but certainly different .
not ranked as that sucks the fun out of it .
It would seem the only people lurking around the forums have bad taste in their mouth’s because they won’t give me one single positive reason why ODST should be ranked. Good thing people like me exist who won’t take anything they say as truth. ODST should be a ranked game type and I won’t quit until i’m heard aloud. It doesn’t even have to be a permanent ranked game type just make it ranked for a season or two . That’s not so hard is it? But might as well throw that idea out the window right with all of you negative people? If ranked is where game types go to die, then might as well throw all games out of halo because my friends and I only play ranked, which means if I ever want to be able to play a lot of ODST they need to rank it out sometimes! Say what you will i wont give in!!

That’s the idea of a open forum champ , not all people agree on all subjects all the time . It’s good we put forward our view as do you with yours .its not negatively just different ways of looking at it , no ones right or wrong . . End of the day 343decide what gets ranked and go 's into social . Frankly h5 has the most ranked playlists so if is going to get a chance of being ranked it’s this game .
