we’ve seen all the many new things they added to halo 2a. I think its very possible to add odst drop pods, and why not. we always had to make them in reach and sometimes they wouldnt even work. Opinions
I prefer actually a real Map editor… like the Far Cry games has it… meaning… no big rocks to place to have a cliff or island…

So what’s the point of commenting that?

Agreed i think Ordinance in forge with think like Drop pod weapons would be freaking awesome for customs or larger btb or different game types.
Drop pods would be a super badass awesome thing to have, but they don’t have enough widespread usefulness to justify adding. Perhaps if we had ultra massive maps with ultra tall skyboxes and small star ships equipped like gunships that serve as bases, but this would be an unlikely scenario.
Yes please! would use 10x less pieces than making a working one from scratch

Are ODST still a thing with Halo beeing done by 343?
There were none in H4…I’m afraid 343 replaced them with S.IV’s… -
Drop Pods might be too complex and high poly…They might end up droping the frame rate too much…

I would imagine their methods would still be a viable option during battle, dropping into battle quickly. The pods themselves can be used by spartans, even if there are less odst soldiers.
I would also imagine there are still odst troops, some people must have stayed out of the spartan iv program.

im pretty sure halo 5 is going to have the cloud. dosent the cloud help with frame rate drop issues.
srry quoted the wrong one.
Is it just me or has this topic been a thing ever since Halo 3’s forge?
OT: Yes, very much yes. I love ODSTs, and it would make some really sweet maps, or at the very least, sweet intros.
