Would it be cool to spawn in a drop pod like a ODST going towards the ground in some random location in Warzone. I think it would be cool.
Very good idea those pods in war zone assault are ugly
Maybe a “tactical insertion” REQ card? Allowing you to spawn wherever you want, even behind enemy lines.
Be neat but the drop pods in halo 5 look like crap.
That would be cool, but I’d imagine after a while it’d just become gimmicky and annoying, similar to jumping out the dropship at the start of every Titanfall match.
It could be a very nice respawn idea.
They should give other options like air borne spawn or pelican spawn

The design that’s in Halo 5 for the drop pod will never compare to the ones from the first part of the series, 2, and 3 ODST.
It would be cool to have massive area of effect damage aswell.
Also i agree the drop pods look fugly.

343’s design team can;t even compete against the old art style.
Haha people are getting too caught up on what the pods look like.

Love this idea. Great way to potentially counter some of the farming that goes on. Another great way to keep WZ from getting stale.
It would spawn a series of montages were players try to get kills by landing on other players.
That should be reason enough to implement this.
Does anyone remember the Paladin Missile Killstreak from COD MW2?
You should be able to drop into a Warzone Map like that, that would be EPIC! So you can pilot it slightly and slow your descent.
Maybe cost you a Req point or two for the privilege…

Nooooo don’t make it like COD
I remember Section 8: Prejudice had an orbital drop spawn system that I wished Halo would adopt with the ODST pods in at least some of its modes.
And personal opinion, not much of a fan of the new design. 343i has abandoned the armored plate look from several of the UNSC vehicles, in favor of a bubbly rounded look, similar to how Covenant designs were (and Covenant have gotten an almost organic, insect-like detail to their look, weird). At least it’s not at bad as I remember the Halo 4 concept art of the ODST Drop pod looking.

Don’t forget that the vehicles seem to be suffering some development issues as well, namely the fact that we’ve gone from Titanium Grade-A armour plating to ONI Cardboard armour and paper armour for anything else. The amount of times my tank or banshee has died in the past from… shudder Battle Rifles with Kinetic Rounds.

Love the sound of that.
Would have to be a low level REQ to be useful, but perhaps limit its use within a match?
Imagine killing someone by landing on them. Or falling directly on top a banshee.
It would end farming.
