ODSTs don’t have any direct connection to ONI (except for field agents like Dare) if my memory is correct. And ODSTs are definitely not just cannon fodder. What exactly caused you to think of this or am I just falling for a joke post?

It’s probably a joke post.

ODST, Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, they are a Marine branch they’re not part of ONI.
