ODST Bonus

343i, can yall please just add ODST as a $10-15 DLC or something?

Just give it the old graphics/lighting boost that you’re doing for halo 3, since it’s the same engine I believe, and have dedicated servers for Firefight.

I know this is about John, and god forbid something in halo not be about the almighty invisible OP character, but let the fans know that there were other heroes in the war.

John is very much visible.

Since ODST didn’t have a multiplayer or anything of the sort, I have no problem playing it on my 360 … all I’ll be doing is either campaign or Firefight. I feel the same way about Halo 3 & 4, but their inclusion in the collection will be great for their laggless multiplayer. ODST on the other hand wouldn’t gain anything but a slight visual bump. Personally, I’m not the kind of person that has to abandon one console once the next gen comes out … at least not for a while. I’ll still be playing Reach and ODST on my 360.

But ultimately, if they want to put out ODST as DLC on the Xbox One, I’m not going to complain.

It’s called Master Chief Collection.

Not the Covenant War collection.

Master Chief Collection.
MASTER. CHIEF.

I seriously don’t see your problem, you can still play ODST on the 360. ODST has NO multiplayer aside from Firefight and that isn’t worth porting, neither is the campaign.

Thats an opinion

Of course it is, but THIS:

Is not.

I much preferred fire fight from odst and reach to spartan ops… So I’m a bit sad they’re not coming along for the ride.

Coming to the forums here and there, it seems a lot of people are asking for a Bungie Halo Collection instead of a Master Chief Collection…

This, I respect having an opinion and all but the collection has been announced along with what most of the content will be. There literally doesn’t need to be an ODST port because the In Amber Clad was at the beginning of the game for .2 seconds.

Gotta flow with what’cha get man. Just saying.

All that content.

Originally if ODST was a part of Halo 3, like Halo 2 and the arby campaign, I think there would of been less flaming about Halo 3…

Back on topic, if ODST was to ever receive some kind of remake treatment, expect the changes to be like Halo 3. Better triangles and frame rate or something, not a whole redesign like the previous Halo games.

I’d buy it, but I don’t care if we hear anything about ODST ever again.

The least we can get is the continuation of the story in and its characters to finally tie in with the Master Chief or something… And bring back that glowing engineer.

Just release them together (ODST & Reach) in a future pack.

ODST’s Campaign was almost as lacking as Halo 3’s. At least Halo 3 had better cutscenes and amazing PvP multiplayer.

The last part about ODST not being worth it is an opinion. But the rest is literally fact . . . unless they do not have their 360 anymore.

Lol this. Perhaps more plans for side games will emerge down the road.

I really enjoyed ODST.

I’d love to see it as DLC for MCC, (yes, despite not having anything to do with MC and the name of MCC, etc etc).

Even if it wasn’t as DLC, it would be great to see both Reach and ODST released in some form, that still launched off the “unified” MCC dashboard.

And then a playlist that allowed you to play through all the campaigns, in chronological timeline order (not release date order).

I particularly enjoyed both ODST and Reach, and would love to see them both on XB1 with the same upgrades Halo 3 is getting. I wouldn’t even mind if they were standalone titles (all DLC maps included) not integrated into MCC - individual digital copies would be fine with me, then I could just launch them whenever I feel like playing them again.

A problem with porting them though would be certain achievements and armor permutations that may no longer be possible to get, so some things would have to be changed there to make it fair.

That I’ll agree with.

Why, is he not allowed to be upset that he can’t play ODST on the Xbox One?

That’s a pretty big problem to me. I loved Firefight. I loved ODST’s Campaign. I loved the open-world aspect that put it miles above the other games in terms of level design. And I’m upset that I won’t be able to play it on 1080hp and 60fps.

@Andy, exactly!

Whose to Say I haven’t sold my 360? (Which I haven’t) and whose to say I’m tired of having to go back and hook up my 360 and then One, over and over again.

They SHOULD have made this the Master HALO collection for about $65-70 including ALL games to get the fans who didn’t have that opportunity to play oldergames on the NEW system With pretty new graphics/lighting.

I never said that he couldn’t, I stated my opinion that I thought the general experience you got with ODST wouldn’t be worth the effort to port when they could use the time on adding newer things into the collection.

Basically we could argue about this until our faces turn blue but at the end of the day the game is still called the Master Chief Collection so I doubt it’ll happen but that’s just me.

@Lupinthrope: If you sold your Xbox 360, that isn’t 343’s problem. Just saying.
That entire choice would be down to you.
