So in the picture Buck, (come on, that is Buck) is wearing some kind of ODST like armor, so, will this be a different armor set to unlock in Halo 5? or just campaign? While I am ok with the Nightfall helmet, I really hope this new ODST helmet is unlockabe as I love the ODST helmet and wore it in every game!
The helmet in the poster is the old ODST helmet from Reach & H3ODST. I’m thinking it may be exclusive to Buck to set his character apart. So my guess would be they’ll do with the ODST/Nightfall armor in Halo 5 like they did with the Mark VI/Mark VI custom in H4: we get the Nightfall helmet like we got the classic Mark VI whereas the character exclusively gets the new (or in this case old) helmet like only Chief got his new armor in Halo 4.
That’s my guess. Or it’s a special unlockable. Like complete campaign on heroic for ODST Classic and legendary for Locke’s armor or something like that. That would be cool. Or maybe (better yet) watch the Halo TV show in Halo Channel to unlock.
I’m hoping most of the characters armor is hard to unlock, although you could easily get fred’s armor in the beta.
On topic, yes it does look different, that or the one in beta was just a wip. I like this one a lot more though, the one in the beta looked very bulky on the top.
I really hope that the ODST armor makes a return. In my opinion, I think that the ODST armor shown in the puzzle/poster/artwork thing looks better than the Nightfall armor (no offense 343, I just don’t care for it).
I hope it is unlockable by beating ODST on legendary alone! Would be incredibly hard and fun, and make it feel exclusive.

I think would be cool, but due to me being me I would not like this, that also means, you would have to buy a DLC to get it. That is my opinion though.

I agree with this, I really hope the new armor is unlockable, just hope it is not to far down the line.

Again, I would prefer and easier way to get it, playing legendary alone is not my thing and I would never be able to do it as I have little patience. I really love the ODST helmet and see it has my Spartans face, KnavishPlum is not KnavishPlum without that helmet. Again, this is my opinion. I do wish a 343 member could tell us if the armor will be in the game a least, It would make me feel better about the whole Nightfall/ODST issue I had.
The nightfall armor looked like trash. Give me really odst armor or update the nightfall one to look right.
They both do look pretty similar.

I honestly think Nightfall is just what the ODST armour looked like back in December, since then it’s been worked on. It definitely didn’t look finished, and it doesn’t make all that much sense to have two types of ODST armour.
Nightfall isn’t ODST, it’s similar but not exactly quite. It’s for ONI apparently.
I love getting armor that is Legendary Solo, it makes it much more worth it.

You can preorder to get it early, but anyone can unlock it.
