Odds of other Spartan Survivors in Infinite?

Okay, so after playing the Infinite Campaign story, It got me thinking about other Spartans, Of course, Master Chief, being the main character, survived, but those audio files also indicated that other Spartans survived, only to be killed. However, this is only a small portion of the ring. So, what if, in some other crash sites spread out among the ring, are other Spartans that survived?

Make sure you collect all the Spartan audio logs and look out for the last entry by Spartan Horvath

But yes, I think there are other Spartans on the ring. Would be neat to be introduced to them and to play with/as them. A lot of things you can do with that.

Almost certainly and the Spartan Audio log suggest they might be further up the ring. Palmer and Locke were on the Infinity and unaccounted for.

One thing though. I think there’s a very important reason the Chief is on his own. They don’t have to address the glowing blue elephant in the room. That will be one hell of a conversation and I think they might be trying to kick that can down the road for while. This is why he’s not starting with Laskey as part of the formal military; they would have asked him to delete the Weapon.

You could maybe get a few Spartans, much like the marines, informally working with Chief and they defer to him on this. But anyone with authority would probably force a conflict which would defeat the point of then meeting up unless the Weapon does something to exonerate herself or is proven to be indispensable.

Plus, they might know things that would reveal too much to our heroes.

We might get a UNSC presence. I just feel next DLC has to do a lot of heavy lifting with the Endless, Offensive Bias and Atriox. Anything like bringing in more UNSC, Created, Cortana that should now take a back seat. Enough to suggest their presence but not so much. I could maybe see a named Spartan showing up.

I am sure in run up to game somebody said that Jen Hale (Palmer) and the voice actress for Tanaka had done voice lines for Infinite. Could just be audio logs. If I had to guess I think Palmer will be with Halsey.

I believe it’s possible, each spartan it’s a lone wolf and they’re loyal to the spartan pack

Assuming UNSC presence extends beyond the relatively tiny slice of Zeta Halo that Infinite’s campaign takes place on? It’s very likely that there are other Spartan survivors present elsewhere on the ring.

I can’t remember the title for the upcoming novel, but there’s one coming that I think will actually focus on this.

Supposedly there is a bunch of UNSC soldiers still out there all over the ring, but somehow there’s even more Banished everywhere… so who knows what other whacky, goofball writing is going to happen moving forward.

I’m not sure if anyone in the Halo universe is safe with 343 in charge…

Lmao, well, what can I say? I do believe that there are more Spartans spread in the halo since lone wolf spartans are proof that there is some

The multiplayer academy and DLC seem to be continuing some kind of story that either takes place during or after infinite

Yes and the Halo: Rubicon Protocol book should be following other Spartans on the ring. The full UNSC Infinity, even if we were harsh and said 50% of them are dead or have been hunted by the Banished, there would still be some heroes left.

“DURING THE UNSC’S DESPERATE MISSION TO ZETA HALO, WHAT BEGAN AS AN ALL-OUT EFFORT TO STOP A ROGUE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BECAME A FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL AGAINST AN UNEXPECTED ENEMY. AS BANISHED FORCES AMBUSHED THE UNSC INFINITY AND BEGAN A BRUTAI OCCUPATION OFTHE RING’S SURFACE, A HANDFUL OF HEROES STOOD READY TO DEFEND HUMANITY AT ANY COST. ”
I feel very pessimistic about this. They are likely to die in the novel or die in the DLC plot. Fate may be a foregone conclusion.

Just focusing in on the fragment we fight on in Infinite, there’s Spartans Bertold Vettel, Tomas Horvath, Nina Kovan, M. Jaide, and Rosado. This is just known Spartans who are missing. There’s also an unnamed Spartan in one of the audio logs. So, there’s survivors just on our fragment, but that doesn’t count the possible survivors that could be on other parts of the ring.

They’re all hiding in a cave somewhere, just a different one to the marines that emerge to populate the FOBS.

I think the sheer number of S4s stationed on the infinity (which I don’t think was destroyed) would make it unlikely that they were wiped out, most of them? perhaps but killing off all of them would be canonically difficult for the banished even with their Bloodstars of which there are very few of in the game; it would make sense that there were more in the banished but I don’t think Escharum or Jega would have risked themselves/ not tested chief fully if more were available. Ultimately I think there are some S4s perhaps S2s or S3s somewhere in hiding ( maybe a cave) doing what they were trained to do when behind enemy lines: survive.

BRO.

Everyone in the first four novels in the Bungie era.

Johnson and Miranda.

Need I say more?

We can be pretty sure that palmer, osiris, blue team amd alpha nine are all alive and kicking but only know that palmer and locke and the rubicon protocol spartans are on the ring, the rubicon crew have mostly been taken out though.

I hope blue team and halsey are introduced via a campaign dlc when coop drops. I want blue team to get the treatment they deserve.

Edit: @total_war1402 i agree it would introduce conflict but that isnt a bad thing if handled correctly.
Blue team and halsey could be used to make exposition on atriox, offensive and the endless much easier for example.
Freds the anti AI guy.
Halsey the deep lore dumper.
Linda the combatant scout.
Kelly the terrain scout.
All with history with john to make for good interactions with fernando and the weapon as they discuss the past, the legend of the chief.
Giving room for more indepth information in gameplay without overwhealming new fans or players with no eu knowledge but not making john a chatterbox.
He stays on mission a few lines to show he cares for his comrades and one liners here and there but a husk to embodie like bungies halos while allowing for the greater universe to be interacted with while not interfering with the gameplay.
Most dialogue aixiliary and easily ignored should you not care but provide co text and breadcrumbs of eu. Nods to onyx and early war. Rumours bedunkdd by blue team and just more character in the world building.

But all done with characters with clear gameplay and narrative roles. Character archetypes that are easy for players to understand and gravitate towards and actual gameplay addituons to boot.

A sniper that can provide cover and eliminate marked foes. A runner to hyjack marked vehicles, an all rounder reliable AI partner in fred that can be spurred into action. While also being extra weapon slots between missions to a degree. AI doesnt need to be next level just passingly competant to add an extra layer of strategy and make for a coop canon story to boot. A tool for making fun scenarios or helping out weaker players but again easily ignored should you want to focus on the lone wolf power fantasy.
At least thats how i percieve blue team. As a huge opertunity for making the franchise in all aspects feel more cohesive.
Perhaps im way off though.
If not designed any narative elementa for a project in a long long time.

there I hope Fireteam Osiris, Blue Team and Jun are out there some where

Would be cool if when they add or iff they add coop you run into a still functional crypod with Jerome in it

Well, not all members of Osiris are there I think.
Since we know that Vale is with Thel Vadame
Buck is with Dare, Locke is in Zeta halo, probably Wounded and Tanaka I can’t tell.

John is Active on installation 07, the rest of blue team probably in personal missions or in their way to Master Chief.

As for Jun, probably alive… Somewhere in Zeta halo
